About Heather Originally from a tiny town in western Massachusetts, Heather knew she wanted to become an illustrator when her second grade teacher gave her a copy of Ed Emberley’s Big Green Drawing Book. After graduating from the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston with a BFA in Graphic Design, Heather moved to California. She’s always worked in the Children’s market, first at Intervisual Books and then for Barbie Consumer Product at Mattel. She now illustrates and licenses in many markets such as holiday, fabric, gift, greeting cards, party paper, and home decor. She lives in sunny southern California with her amazing husband, two adorable children, and one sweet American bulldog named Harmony.
