Heather Shoemaker

I am intrigued and inspired by the emerging necessity of the knowledge worker in our society. The implications are pervasive. No matter what I do or where I find myself, my goal is to prepare myself and society to succeed in such a world by acquiring, developing, and sharing the necessary skills and knowledge required for practical expertise. It is no longer acceptable to focus on perfecting one discipline to the exclusion of all others. We are living in a time characterized by far-reaching relations and can no longer ignore our interdependent existence.
