Summer Activities By: Emma Newell
Introduction This is my survey about summer activities. I chose this topic because I was curious which summer activities were most popular at Hebron Academy. I did this topic because I can’t wait for summer any longer! I asked all the hebron students, faculty and staff the following questions:
Do you go to a summer camp? This graph shows how many people go to a summer camp. 17.6% of the 74 people that filled out my survey said they do go to a summer camp, and 82.4% said they did not go to a summer camp.
What are you favorite activities in the summer? I asked everybody what their favorite activities to do in the summer were. The most popular activities were swimming, going to the beach and spending time with family and friends. I love to do all these activities in the summer!
What is your favorite thing to eat in the summer? This graph shows what people like to eat the most in the summer. The most common food everybody likes to eat is ice cream and second is watermelon. 23 people said they like to eat ice cream and 14 people said they liked watermelon.
Do you work/volunteer in the summer? This graph is showing how many people work and don’t work in the summer. 29.7% of the 74 people I got responses from said they do not work or volunteer in the summer, but 70.3% of the people said they do work or volunteer in the summer.
What is your favorite beach? In my survey one of my questions was what is your favorite beach. The most popular beaches were Popham Beach and Old Orchard Beach in Maine.
Conclusion In this project I learned how to make graphs in google sheets and the countif formula. I also learned how to send out a survey from google forms. I learned that the students, faculty and staff here at Hebron Academy like to do lots of fun things in the summer!
