A few hours later
Genevieve She’s not here she must have drove over to find me I need to drive back.
Walter realized she is not there and gets worried.

Ylle hears Ylla calling a man’s name and yelling, and runs in to se whats going on!
Nathaniel York!
Ylla is having a dream about a strange, but handsome man. He speaks a different anguage than her, but she understands it.
The K’s house on planet Mars is quiet and out of the way. It’s a rainy day. Lately Ylle and Ylla haven’t been very happy, but they were once.
You’re so beautiful
Ylla explains that she was dreaming of a tall, and handsome man, with blue eyes, and blonde hair. His name is Nathaniel York.
Ylla starts to sing a strange song. And starts to get angry and question her dream.
Did you make up that song?
“Drink to me with only thine eyes…” No! I don’t know where it came from!
Let’s take the fire birds to town tonight to see some entertainment!

Really! Are you feeling okay?
Actually, nevermind. Dr. Nlle is supposed to be coming.
Are you sure.
Ylle gets out his gun and explains why he doesn't want to go anymore.

confused and is worried about what he is doing.

AHHHHHHHHH! Bang! Ylle knows that the dream is true and Ylla is using telepathy. He finds the men and kills Nathaniel York and his partner, Bert.
Ylla gets freaked out and falls, and all of her memories of Nathaniel, and the song are gone.

Ylle comes back with nothing, and Ylla is in tears because Ylla realizes what he has done.
Dr. Nlle is actually coming a different day! I got mixed up!

In the first expedition, only two men were sent. The humans on Earth will never know what happened to Nathaniel & Bert

2nd Expedition: This mission brought more people, more weapons, and more anger from the Martians.
We are from Earth!
You people are crazy!
Many Martians were insane, so the humans were nothing new. Even though they were not crazy.
The Martians thought the humans ship was a crazy hallucination. The only cure was to kill them.

Many of the men saw family members that they hadn’t seen in years, because they had died. They were so excited that they did not wonder why they were alive.
There is only one way to stop you.

3rd Expedition: The men landed in a place that looked suspiciously like Earth.
The men were nowhere to be found the next morning.
4th Expedition: The Earth men decided to give Mars one more shot, but the astronauts found nothing but empty cities.
We need to preserve this city.
One man was particularly upset when another Earth man disrespected the Martian City, so he killed him.
Disrespectful!
The astronaut killed many other members of his crew and planned to kill all of them. That way he could live alone and preserve the Martian cities. So, what was left of his crew killed him.
In this book Ray Bradbury is trying to get across the struggle of invasion and resistance in space travel. 5th Expedition: People eventually settled on Mars and lived there for many years. The End.
