In recent years, the tourism sector in El Salvador has undergone a significant expansion, creating lots of investment opportunities. Advantages of the Tourism Law
• Esta legislación señala que, con una inversión mínima de USD 25,000, una empresa puede calificar para ser declarada proyecto turístico de interés nacional y optar por los siguientes beneficios:
• This law indicates that tourism projects with a minimum investment of USD 25,000 are eligible to be declared of “national touristic interest” and enjoy the following benefits:
• Exención total del impuesto sobre transferencia de bienes raíces para la adquisición de los inmuebles que serán destinados al proyecto. • Exención de derechos arancelarios a la importación de bienes, equipos y accesorios, maquinaria, vehículos, aeronaves o embarcaciones para cabotaje y los materiales de construcción para las edificaciones hasta la finalización del proyecto.(1) • Exención total del impuesto sobre la renta por un período de 10 años.(1)
