Automatic sliding door are lifting the entrances in the glass façade of the car dealer
At BIN2BIL car dealer in the town of Slagelse in Denmark, 4 entrances lead into the exhibition hall. Each entrance is incorporated smoothly into the fully glassed façade and marked with an frame highlighting the brand of a car. BIN2BIL A/S is an authorized car dealer with 6 car brands in 3 locations in the Western part of Zealand. In Slagelse BIN2BIL maintain sales and service of 3 of the car brands. Each brand has its own division in the large and impressive exhibition hall, which also features a service department, a division for used cars and – not least - a perfectly renovated – and very old – Ford.

The entrances are facing towards the customer parking area, and are easily seen from the street. Once entered the building, the customers can walk freely from one car brand to another. Two major demands were in focus when installing the doors: Easy and convenient accessibility for the customers. Reliable functionality and safety, assuring that the doors would always work optimal. ECdrive T2 is a perfect match to most sliding doors The solution for each entrance is a double sliding glass door. Each door is equipped with GEZE ECdrive T2 with GCprofile Therm. The ECdrive can be used flexibly in a wide variety of installation situations, as it is a true multi-talent. As an automatic linear sliding door system, in a slim design and with a cover height of only 100 mm, the ECdrive offers great freedom for design. The strong drive is highly reliable for large and wide doors with a weight of up to 140 kg per door leaf.

The new GCprofile Therm is a fine framed thermally separated profile system. It can additionally be supplemented by a thermally separated fanlight in frame design. With thermally separated profile systems, energy efficiency can be increased, adding to the sustainability of the building. Complete connectivity and less maintenance: The ECdrive T2 can be networked via CAN bus and integrated into building technology management systems. At BIN2BIL the doors are connected to the fire alarm system as the doors work as escape routes. The ECdrive independently detects and logs errors, for quick reset of the door settings. Maintenance is less as its roller carriage cleans itself. An easy choice for a satisfied customer When choosing the supplier for the doors, BIN2BIL relied on quality and service from a known supplier: GEZE has previously delivered a similar solution to the same company, on a different location in Denmark. “Choosing GEZE as supplier of sliding doors to our facility in Slagelse, was an easy decision. We are very satisfied with the doors GEZE supplied for our car dealer building in Holbæk in 2013”, says Kristian Haubjerg, After Sales - and Operations Manager at BIN2BIL.
