Welcome to the 3rd issue of my “Make PRETTY Stuff” e*ideabook. I am so excited to introduce a nd explore my newest collection inside these pages. It is called Project Life® by Heidi Swapp! A bout one year ago I got a call from my friend Becky Higgins asking me if I would be interested in collaborating on a “Heidi Swapp” edition of Project Life®. Although I am a lover of pocket pages, I had never actually p reserved my memories using Project Life® and immediately ideas started to flow. I was su per excited about the c reative possibilities! Becky developed Project Life® to be a very simple and straightforward way to document your life! The basic system consists of 3 elements: 1. Sets of pre-designed 4x6 and 3x4 cards 2. Photo Pocket Pages 3. Albums. All you have to do is combine photos w ith pre-designed cards a nd p h oto p o cket p a ges, and you are ready to fill up your albums! But here is what I totally love about it.....the process can be kept super simple, or you can add ‘pretty stuff’ and make it as creative and fun as you like! I invited 10 amazing women to contribute to this issue by sharing their s tories, photos, and hearts using Project Life® products by Heidi Swapp. I wanted to feature a wide range of projects from the very simple and basic - to super interactive and creative! My hope is that no matter where you land on the s pectrum of time vs. creative energy, you will be inspired and motivated to print your photos and tuck them inside pretty pockets! Enjoy this and remember to... Make Pretty Stuff!

Ali Edwards is all about the story. To capture this special event, Ali printed her journaling and included it inside a separate 8 ½" x 11" page protector that she then placed right in between her 2-page spread.

Use a big chunky marker to add mini-titles.

Cut a 4" x 6" photo in half, to perfectly fit into (2) 3" x 4" adjacent pockets.

Add a plastic page tab to the edge of the panoramic flaps to invite the reader to lift and LOOK!

Use different tip sized markers to add journaling right onto photos before they are placed in their sleeve.

Remove the insert, and trace the shape onto another piece of paper.

Cut the shape out with scissors.
3.
Fill the shape with journaling & sentiments to match your own photos!
“I wanted to include the team roster on this page, so I created a new insert for the interactive card. I also customized the title (covering up the words “picture time”) by cutting down a 3" x 4" die cut card from the Color Magic Value kit, spraying it with Citron Color Shine and layering a 3" x 4" card from the Favorite Things Core Kit behind it.”

A simple slit can be cut into the photo pocket page with an exacto knife to accommodate interactive elements. 92
Add a clear card or vellum tag behind the opening of the instaframe opening to create a window. Then you can add embellishments directly over the opening to add special effects and sentiments to photos!
