INTRODUCTION Military ships today increasingly have to operate under threat of attack by TICs and TIMs. Reliable CBRN filter systems are essential to operate under these conditions without becoming contaminated. With our CBRN filter units, equipped with STANAG 4447 or STANAG 4634 filter elements, in combination with our overpressure regulators, a safe working environment (citadel) is created that ensures optimal performance of the crew and electronic equipment. Our new modular CBRN filter units make it possible to create a CBRN filter system that is suitable for any application by integrating the required number of modules. Application Our nuclear, biological and chemical (CBRN) filtration system provides clean filtered fresh air, free of CBRN contaminants in an overpressure citadel. Three levels of filtration (coalescence, dust and composite filtration) are applied to the incoming air before it is supplied to the citadel. The overpressure citadel eliminates the need for occupants to wear gas masks and protective clothing during CBRN attacks. The control system constantly compares internal and external pressures and provides a visual and / or audible warning if the citadel pressurization fails. The CBRN filter unit is designed for external installation on citadels with a supply duct to the interior of the citadel. The CBRN control unit is designed to be installed internally in the citadel and cover the air duct to diffuse air entering the citadel. When the CBRN filter unit is operational, the unit is designed as a fail-safe system, i.e. should the citadel be damaged or an air seal leaks, clean air will leak out of the unit instead of drawing in polluted air.
