INTRODUCTION As a pinnacle symbol of luxury, no experience on board a superyacht is made whole without fine dining. With immediate proximity to the sea and expert chefs on board, guests aboard superyachts have access to some of the world’s best ingredients, prepared to the finest standard. Just as the age-old adage declares that ‘the kitchen is at the heart of the home’, the galley is central to a superyacht. The galley, an inherently technical space, should be outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment to compliment the topquality ingredients on board, but access to wonderful ingredients prepared by master chefs, proves futile if not stored properly. Application With this level of attention to detail and the ultimate guest experience in mind, Heinen & Hopman have developed both refrigerator and freezer cabinets to ensure top-of-the-line storage for those all-important ingredients. Whether you’re hopping between Mediterranean ports or embarking on a journey to remote corners of the world, star-worthy food should always be of access. Each aspect of the stainless steel refrigerator and freezer cabinets, including walls and floors, shutters, custom-built doors and configuration and the number of shelves can be customised to meet the needs of your superyacht. With a large interior volume of 550 litres and vertically adjustable shelves every 12.7 millimetres, storage requirements can always be fulfilled. Unique advantages • Directly connected to the onboard network • Extra thick wall which reduces heat and sound transfer to a minimum (whispering) and improves performance in galleys and other locations, improving energy efficiency • Insulation (PIR) walls have a higher thermal performance, these are flame and smoke resistant • Full-height LED lighting in the entire cabinet • Shelves vertically adjustable every 12,7mm (½”) • Optimal air circulation and therefore longer shelf life products • Optimal design resulting in a large net cabinet volume • Refrigerant R449a non-flammable and low GWP • Location compressor/condenser - see typical installation on page 4 • In line with very high quality in the yachting industry. Though a refrigeration and freezer system may not be the first thing you notice on a superyacht, it certainly operates as an instrumental piece of the puzzle to ensure your superyacht is being used to its fullest potential by providing the highest level of fine dining for guests.
