Lunar Vestige Bachelor thesis Isia Firenze 2012 #Concept design #Bag design
Bally Lunar Vestige is a thesis project born from the direct collaboration with the male accessories department of the Swiss fashion house Bally. The brand’s philosophy focuses all its attention on the relationship between past and present, trying to find a historical connection for its new products. Reviewing all the most important events of Bally’s history, it is impossible not to notice that the first man who walked on the moon left a Bally-signed footprint on it. This almost mythical anecdote, a trace of the future in the company’s history, was never used as an expression of the brand. It is precisely from this unused ‘topos’, that the new male accessory line took its inspiration. So, in the same way as modern men have rediscovered the usefulness of bags – after years of neglect – so Bally has rediscovered a piece of its past identity that provides a starting point from which to move forward into the future.

Prototype Some photos of the prototype development, made with the help of Bally artisans and pattern makers. My first contribution in the protoyping was to create the seven polyurethane modules. I used a 3D software and the University 3D printer to realize the modules mold, where I put the artificial resin. Then I did the paper pattern and helped the artisans in cutting the leather and assemble the bag.

Picnic Bags
Personal project August 2013 - present #Brand design #Autoproduzione #Bag Design
hand Picnic Bags is a personal project that was created on my grandfather’s old desk, which was full of drawers and had a small space for my legs. The drawers were full of strings of all sizes, thread, needles, a pad and pencil‌ Sunny days and a desire to take long walks countryside inspire simple and functional objects, made and sewn with love and care. Each Picnic accessory is unique, original and different from the other, made entirely by hand – the fruit of long and patient work. I personally do both the design of models and their implementation using canvas, faux leather and ropes. I also oversee the graphic design and packaging.

Self-production exercise for the Design II lab - Isia Firenze 2010 #Concept Design #Autoproduzione #Bag Design
smem My room is always very messy, so I always forget a lot of essential things at home. ‘Nodo Bag’ (which means ‘knot bag’) is a bag for forgetful people, which takes inspiration from the Italian saying ‘fare il nodo al fazzoletto’, or ‘tie a knot in your handkerchief’. So the knot becomes a formal and meaningful input for the project.

Sketches and technical drawings of computer pouches designed for Yinuo 2013 #Bag Design #Sketches #Computer pouch
Pc-po The Chinese company Yinuo produces computer bags. During my collaboration I designed, as a freelance bag designer, four products for them: a nylon backpack, a nylon messenger, a neoprene computer skin and a leather tote. For every project I did technical drawings and various color proposals. The nylon bags follow a common theme: the main feature is the presence of oblique lines or a metal hook.
