INTRODUCING FOREVER LOVING My name is Helen Hook, a full-time mum, full time Careers Advisor and somebody who loves craft.
Coping with the loss of a loved one is something we can never really prepare ourselves for. In 2013 I lost somebody close to me, and during the grieving process I asked myself the question of “what do we do with the loved ones clothing”. To simply throw them away seemed wrong, maybe donating
some to a charity shop, but what about those memorable items they wore?
This is when I decided that we didn’t have to throw out or donate clothes; they could be transformed into beautiful keep sake items to cherish forever.
This brochure will show you some of the ways in how you can use your loved ones clothing and have them turned into bespoke items for you keep as a beautiful keepsake. I am new to the market, but a very competent craft person who will treat each and every item I am commissioned to make with the love and care they deserve. Once you have placed your order regular communication is kept, with updates on how your items are coming along. I see this as a crucial part of the process to ensure that you are happy with how your item is taking shape.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS What are memorial blankets and cushions? Memorial blankets and cushions celebrate the life of a loved one by incorporating their clothing to create beautiful, bespoke items for you to cherish forever. Why should I use Forever Loving? I know how painful it is to lose a loved one and when that time comes to sort through clothes it can be a difficult time. Therefore using those clothes to have commissioned into a beautiful blanket or cushion will be a memorial keepsake you can cherish forever. A living memory for you to hold onto. I pride myself on taking the time to get things perfect, and I will keep you updated every step of the way until your item is complete. I will email you pictures of how your item is coming along to check you are happy with it because it is so important to me that you are 100% happy. How are your blankets and cushions made? Each patchwork blanket or cushion is handmade especially for you by me within my home studio. I use a classic, modern design but if you something more specific in mind, do let know because I would be more than happy to work with you on a design that you have in mind. My items are made with a combination of square patches taken from the clothes that you send. When you have expressed an interest to place an order, I will email you a brochure which has further details of the designs, number of clothes per size blanket and what types of material I can accept. I use high quality cotton for the backing of the blankets. The cushions have a polyester pad, and the zipper is concealed for the perfect finish. Can the memorial blanket and cushions be washed? All items can be washed on a cool, delicate cycle, unless the clothes provided are not suitable for machine wash. Full care instructions will be sent out with all finished items. Can the memorial blanket and cushions be personalised? Absolutely! I can applique or embroider a name of word on the blankets or cushion. Please request this additional service when you order so that I add the additional cost onto your order. For this service it is an additional ÂŁ5.00 depending on the size of the message or passage.

How long will it take to get my memorial blanket/cushion? My current turn-around is 2 weeks, but this may vary during busy periods. Before placing your order please be sure to visit the ‘Turn Around’ tab on the website page which provides an update on order times. I send all orders First Class Special Delivery to ensure you receive your orders promptly and securely. How do I get the clothes to you? If you live nearby please feel free to drop the clothes off on a weekend. If not, postage is great. Please remember to ensure that all clothes have been washed before sending. What do I need to provide? Just your laundered clothing! The price I charge covers all materials other than your clothes. Please note that I do not send back remainder fabrics once it has been used for the patchwork cuttings. If you did want this back I would need to charge an additional cost. How do I place an order? Simply fill in the form online or drop me an email. You will automatically receive a notification to let you know your details have been acknowledged, and I will then personally get in touch with you within the next 24 hours to confirm your order and confirm next steps to make all the practical arrangements. How do I pay for my items? Upon confirming the work you wish to have commissioned, I request a 50% upfront cost per items you are ordering to secure you’re booking. The remainder of the bill is paid once the item(s) are finished before posting. Do you offer refunds if not completely satisfied? In the unlikely situation of your item arriving damaged or faulty then of course, a full refund will be given. If however you decide that you no longer want the item once it has been commissioned I cannot provide a refund. This is because the item created is unique and cannot be sold onto to another third party due to the nature of the products created.
If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to ask. It is a great privilege to commission your blankets and cushions, and I will ensure the highest quality, care and respect will go into making them. Kind regards, Helen Hook Email: foreverloving@gmail.com Mobile: 07977 555 444
