Bob Williamson Park
The majority of restrictions have now been lifted and the monthly working groups are starting up again. They are to be held on the second Saturday of the month starting at 10:00am, meeting at the park car park. This month, the group will meet on Sat 9th Oct. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Speeding in the Village
Thank you to all that supported the Road Safety Meeting in August. The next meeting will be on Tues 12th Oct, 7:00pm at the village hall.

New Councillors
The council is pleased to announce that three new councillors were formally co-opted on to the council at the September meeting. They are Sandra Jepson, Janet Lewin and Bill Renwick.

American School Clock
An early 1900s Ansonia school wall clock was donated to St Aidan’s Church of England High School by Preesall Town Council in August 2021. It formerly belonged to Preesall Urban District Council (1894 -1974) and was housed in the council offices in Park Lane, Preesall.
Audit for Year Ended 31st March 2021
PKF Littlejohn LLP has concluded the external audit. The Annual Return and Notice of Conclusion of Audit is displayed on the council’s noticeboards.
Kelly’s Corner
The council is to write to Wyre Council asking if it would consider donating the land known as Kelly’s Corner, at the junction of Grasmere Avenue and Lancaster Road, to Preesall Town Council.
Jubilee Garden Hedge
Works to lay the hedge to the rear of the library in the Jubilee Garden are to be commissioned for the winter period.
Benches
Three memorial benches are to be installed in September. One will be sited to the rear of the Battle of Britain memorial and two will be sited on the riverside walk.
Next Meeting
Preesall Town Council will meet next on Mon 11th Oct at 7:00pm at Preesall and Knott End Youth and Community Centre. This is a public meeting and residents are welcome. An opportunity to raise matters is available. Keep an eye on the council’s website, noticeboards and Facebook page for updates. For further information contact the clerk.
