Lessons in Doing Your Kitchen Right
Eurolux Kitchens brings European style & ingenuity to the kitchens of Edmonton
When you think of European design, one can’t help but think of how much more ingenious and thoughtful everything seems to be. It’s these two words that describe Eurolux Kitchens’
approach to design and excellent client experience. The family-operated business has been impressing Canadian homeowners since 2007.
Eurolux Kitchens first entered the scene under the name
Euro Centre as a renovation and cabinetry business. Vitaly, one of the owners, started his career long before then, however.
“My background has always been with furniture, as I learned the trade from my father, who was a cabinet maker. Following that, I had my own furniture manufactory back in the Soviet Union. When we moved to Germany, I transitioned to cabinetry and kitchen design and have had a successful career in that niche.”
While they still do some renovations, the company’s specialty lies in kitchen design, cabinetry, and glass backsplashes, often attracting customers who upon returning from trips to Europe, want to replicate some qualities in their own homes that they saw abroad. The first step toward any customer’s dream kitchen is a visit to the showroom to get acquainted with all the colours and materials they have to offer. White and grey have been the reigning favourites, typically paired with a wood accent but they can appeal to nearly every colour palette.
“We do have essentially any material/style/colour under the sun here at Eurolux Kitchens. Our kitchen designs also tend to feature cooktops and wall ovens rather than ranges because of our modern approach, but we can accommodate any design request.”
The past year and a half has forced businesses to adapt, and for Vitaly and his family, there was no exception. In a business where clients need to see materials and
collaborate on their designs with the team, how could they continue to serve people as effectively as before? Eurolux Kitchens already boasted an excellent program to create 3D renderings to show clients what their future kitchens would look like at the end of the process, but they followed this up with special software to bring the collaborative process to the digital realm.
“To serve clients better, we have launched a cloud-based design portal where we can collaborate on designs and share all relevant documents, renderings, etc., with clients who would rather not visit the showroom.”
