The retreat is nestled in the heart of the beautiful Pembrokeshire countryside, yet a mere 5 miles from both Haverfordwest. Established in April 2018, Millin Brook Luxury Dog Boarding has been overwhelmed with having their success acknowledged and has been awarded Kennel of the Year 2022 at the Pet Industry Federation Awards. The family, having relocated from Cardiff to Pembrokeshire in 2017, have over 25 years of experience working with animals at the very highest level (business owner Sian is a retired Police Officer of 20 years of service, 13 of which was as a Mounted Police Officer).

The Country Retreat for Dogs has ten luxury beachnamed suites, which are glass fronted and have separate sleeping and run areas. Both areas measure 1.8 metres wide by 3 metres in length, giving plenty of room for a very large dog or a family of dogs sharing. Each suite has its own automatic water drinker, thermostatically controlled central heating and CCTV cameras linked to the on-site home. There is also an integrated sound system throughout the corridors providing calming music. They have a secure garden with a log cabin where guests can relax on the sofas and watch television. As security is top priority, they have just installed automatic entrance gates for additional security.

There is also an option to upgrade to Millin Brook’s VIP (Very Important Pooch) package where owners receive photos/videos daily, dogs have a variety of luxury treats throughout their stay including filled kongs/licki mats and even an afternoon tea! Guests are groomed daily and get a luxury bath before going home and have use of branded towel coats just like you would have a dressing gown at a luxury hotel.
