LOCAL ARTWORK
A Hotel has the intent to expose the growing culture of Miami along with its natural resources and landscapes. The design will have a mixture of contemporary style with popping elements, like the artwork of local artists. It will be an intriguing space with contrasting elements, with a vivid and rich palette. With amusing architectural features, unexpected pieces and a dynamic environment the hotel will create more than pleasure for all guests.

As the name suggest the space was built around the Eames Lounge Chair, with a budget of $1000 as a part of an Ikea Design Challenge. The room’s main inspiration was the creator of the furniture piece: Charles Eames; our intent was to create a place that represented his way of living and tendencies. With similar elements of their own house, the room is a place to relax and work by getting inspired by all the details and features.

THE DETAILS ARE NOT THE DETAILS. THEY MAKE THE DESIGN.
The Eameses are best known for their ground-breaking contributions to architecture, furniture design, industrial design, manufacturing and the photographic arts. They were the inspiration for each piece of art created uniquely for the room, where graphic design meets interior design.

After researching about the magazine, we realized the real objective of the magazine “it is not only about music, but what music embraces. Therefore the interior design of the offices will narrate a the relationship betweeen music and the history that it contains. the design will have a lot of colors and contrast , as for the floor plan layout it will be linear and repetitive, based on the research made and regarding the funcionality of the office.

A building with the same function that as the Mc Arthur Palm Tree, providing oxygen and energy for humans. The goal is achieved by placing huge glass tubes on a facade which holds algae breeders, making them to produce fuel. These uses waste water from building as nutrients and pumps CO2 of the building air for the plant. Then the alage pumps back oxygen, while creating fatty lipids that can be burned in co-generator for heat and electricity.
