Examples set by my Mother, reading the Bible and kneeling with me at my bed each and every night in prayer, as well as my father attending church, come rain or sunshine, would be the pillar of strength right through my life. But the big brake through, leading to this encounter with the Creator of the universe, was my Sunday school teacher Miss Van Niekerk. She always had this soft and tender smile, a very special way to talk of Jesus, consisting of great respect, love and admiration. One could sense the very special relationship.
