On 17/10/2021, my book Koevoet – Experiencing South Africa’s Deadly Bush War was sent to many people on WhatsApp and Facebook. Someone had taken the Amazon eBook edition and converted it to a PDF file and shotgunned it around South Africa. There has been a ripple effect, with people sending it on to friends who shared it with friends who shared it with friends. According to Amazon, this could only have been done by an experienced computer programmer and hacker. It may not seem important to most people, but this book and two others constitute what might be called my pension. The names of two people have been suggested but whoever it is knows how to cover his electronic spoor with anti-tracking. It can be seen on my website under “Other Book Reviews.” jimhooperbooks.co.uk
