My Work.

01| Kitchen Design

Since October I’ve worked as a Kitchen and Interior Designer for Schmidt in Islington. During my short time with Schmidt I exceeded targets and secured sales on par with more seasoned and senior designers.

Project:

ROMOCKI

Still an open project, Romocki is a fully handleless kitchen with an emphasis on worktop space and personality.

Project: ORMISTON

SOLD 15K+ (Instal Jan)

This project was an ex council flat conversion in Pimlico. The client wanted a ‘modern shaker style’ which combined the traditional look of a shaker kitchen with more modern kitchen design features.

The entrance to the property is behind the dividing wall which I recommended they installed. This created clear zones within the open plan room managing and utilising their space more effectively. The waterfall Island in a flat sencha door added that modern contrast the client desired whilst maintaining the warmth and look of a traditional British kitchen.

Project: BADR SOLD 30K+ (Instal March)

The client approached me with plans for a home extension in Islington, they were instantly drawn towards a soft navy handleless style. After multiple meetings I presented this final kitchen / utility layout. The design reflect the bold and modern features requested by the client whilst offering ample practicality for a family of four. Black handrails and appliances, a wide use of carrara misterio stone and symmetrical design ensures this kitchen delivers the bold wow factor.

Roundhouse is a multi-award-winning British kitchen & interior design company. They create, bespoke fitted interiors, kitchens and furniture. The designs feature a signature, understated aesthetic, influenced by contemporary architecture and design, using innovative materials, texture and colour.

During my time at Roundhouse I worked in their Wigmore Street showroom. I was involved with their entire design, manufacture and installation process from the initial meeting to the final fitting, working alongside seasoned designers and producing work at a professional and luxury level.

(The elevations, plans and 3D visuals shown here (using Vectorworks) are an example of the work I produced day to day during my time at roundhouse)

02|Jr. KBB Design

As well as developing my design practices at University I was lucky enough to expand and utilise my skills on my placement with luxury kitchen designer Roundhouse Design on Wigmore Street.

Project: Primrose Hill Community Centre

The PHCC approached Roundhouse asking for a compact, high quality but cost effective kitchen for their community centre. Using standardised unit sizes within the Roundhouses range and by ensuring every bit of space was utilised efficiently I finished with the design shown here. A lockable pantry and hidden touch latch cabinet (under the bar) were also included for safe storage of equipment and dry produce (per the clients request).

Norfolk Road was a residential project with a relatively high budget, the client expressed interest in exploring different styles and material finishes for the kitchen cabinetry and had their heart set on a Carrara White Marble Worktop with twin downstands and a brushed brass under bar back.

The elevations shown here are just some of the options I drew up, and as a team, we presented to the client. The Island in the top right has a matt lacquer finish in Little Greene’s Bronze Green paint and is a clean and classic shaker style.
