Decommissioning / Recommissioning Units Preparing your treatment unit for long term storage Soaric and EMCIA series

In the event that you must prepare your treatment unit for long periods of inactivity, please follow the steps outlined below to ensure the treatment unit may be recommissioned without issue. The steps included are for primarily Soaric but the principle applies to all Morita treatment units. Please do not use Bilpron solution for any units manufactured by J. MORITA MFG. CORP. In addition to the information in this document, please follow the guidelines provided by Metasys if you have a Metasys WEK installed. Decommissioning steps: 1. Close the main water valve

2. Press the water lever (W) on the threeway syringe or triplex and release the water pressure.

3. Switch off the warmer tank accessible from main operating panel Press

on the second panel of the Home screen.

Select Off and confirm with OK

4. Turn off the main switch

5. Open the cover for the water filter and remove the filter inside. At this time, water might spill out so have a bucket ready just in case. Re-attach the filter cover without the filter.

6. Turn on the main switch

7. Open the manual basin rinsing knob fully in the direction indicated by the arrow in the photo below.

8. Press the nozzle of the threeway syringe against you palm then press both the air and water levers simultaneously. At the same time, press and hold the cup filler switch. Water will come out from the cuspidor. When the water circuit is filled with air, air will come out as well.

9. Turn off the main switch

Note, the water filter is not reusable. Please order a new one.

Recommissioning Steps 1. Open the main water valve then turn on the main switch.

2. Put the instrument tubes into the flushing device. For Soaric: Run the flush out cleanser program. Please refer to pages 21-23 of the Soaric Instructions for Use. Publication number C1158-EN-19 For EMCIA: Follow the procedures for “Set up Flushing Device�. Please refer to pages 69-70 of the EMCIA Instructions for Use. Publication number C1137-EN-11.

3. After flushing, place the tubes back into the tube holders. 4. Close the water valve.

5. Press the water lever (W) on the threeway syringe to release the water pressure.

6. Turn off the main switch

7. Open the cover for the water filter and install a new filter. At this time, water might spill out so have a bucket ready just in case. Re-attach the water filter cover.

8. Open the water valve.

9. Turn on the main switch

10. If necessary, turn on the switch for warmer tank.

11. If necessary, use the manual rinsing setting to adjust the water level in the basin.

Note: In low temperatures, water remaining in the lines can freeze and cause damage. To prevent this, ensure all water is drained from the lines, threeway syringes, air turbines, micromotors and scalers after turning off the main switch and closing the water and air valves.
