After down-time period Dental unit waterlines 1 Run plenty of water through the dental unit. The easiest way to do this is to perform long instrument flushing several times. Remember to select all instruments, including the assistant’s syringe. Note! If the waterlines are empty, the water will splash in the beginning when you start flushing the instruments.
2 Clean the waterlines over night with Planmeca Planosil /
Planmeca PlanPure using the Waterline Cleaning System (WCS) or the Clean Water System (CWS) and flush the waterlines the following morning. Start the cleaning process the day before you want to take the dental unit into use. Repeat the waterline cleaning two more times for two subsequent days.

Planmeca PlanMill® 40 S, 30 S and 40
Milling unit maintenance for scheduled down-time periods Before down-time period Clean spindle caps and collets 1 Touch the Collet cleaning icon.
2 For PlanMill 40 select Yes and follow the cleaning
wizard’s instructions. For PlanMill 40 S and 30 S select Clean caps and collets and follow the cleaning wizard’s instructions.
3 Close the wizard after successful cleaning process.
Empty and clean fluid tank 1 Touch the Clean fluid tank icon.
2 Empty and clean the fluid tank according to the milling unit’s instructions and fill the tank with hot water only when asked to fill the tank.
3 With PlanMill 40 S and 30 S circulation system priming
starts automatically after filling the tank. With PlanMill 40 go to Support Console High Level touch Mechanical Control box Start Pump. Circulate the hot water 2-3 minutes and Stop Pump.
4 After successful circulation system priming process
open the drawer and empty and clean the tank. Rinse the filter and leave both the tank and the filter out for drying.
5 Clean the milling chamber and lid thoroughly. 6 Shut down the milling unit and switch off the main
power from the back of the unit. Leave the lid open. Shut down the PlanMill 40 Job Server by pressing the power button for 5 seconds.
After down-time period Taking the milling unit into use 1 Turn on the milling unit. 2 If Clean fluid tank icon is red, proceed to the cleaning process. Otherwise refill the fluid tank with water and cooling liquid.
