Eagles have good two weeks of fall camp

Brandon Barbaree said his team has had a good two weeks of fall camp so far.
“The kids have been showing up, working hard,” he said. “We’ll have about 25 kids this year. We had 19 starting last year. Our numbers are up.”
Barbaree said his team has a small senior class with four kids.
“But our kids have worked really hard,” he said. “We’ve been blessed with great weather. No day was over 80 degrees last week.”
Barbaree said his team has some potential to be really good.
“It’s one of those teams that if we find a well to gel, we can have a chance to be really good,” he said. “If we don’t, then we’re going to be an average team. But our kids have worked hard and worked like a team that wants to be pretty good.”
The Eagles will scrimmage at Central Arkansas Christian on Thursday at Mustang Mountain in North Little Rock at 6 p.m.
