The Herbal Magic Show is a series of radio interviews with owner Adale and client Cheryl Clark. The series airs on North Bay’s newest station, North Bay Radio (at 104.9 FM). You can also tune into the Herbal Magic Show anytime by visiting www.northbayradio.ca. For those of you who are unaware, Cheryl has agreed to share her story involving her trials and tribulations with weight throughout her life. Cheryl first tried Herbal Magic three years ago and saw some success. She has since realized that three years ago she was not quite ready to change her life. Over the course of several episodes, Cheryl elaborates on the differences between now and then. In this incredibly relatable interview series, Adale and Cheryl discuss several issues, including: excuses, social engagements, organization, cheating, the problem with family-first

attitudes, and Cheryl’s ultimate goal: fit and fabulous at fifty. The staff of Herbal Magic would like to give a huge congratulations to Cheryl. Since beginning program for the second time, Cheryl has hit the 30 pound mark! Her goal is to lose 70

and she is not far off from her halfway point. Her bright and shining demeanour is a con-

stant in our centre, and her persistence is inspiring. We truly cannot wait to see Cheryl’s continued success. Like many of our past clients, Cheryl realized there were habits in her life which were harmful to her and her weight. In a very enlightening interview, Cheryl discusses the role of motherhood. Women have a habit of putting themselves at the bottom of the list, and Cheryl was no exception. She has come to realize that she was anxious, depressed and tired all the time. Above all, Cheryl recognized she (as an individual) was no longer happy. “What good am I going to be in all of these roles (wife, mother, caregiver etc) if I am feeling this way? By taking care of yourself you are really taking care of your family f i r s t . ” Tune in to hear more of Cheryl’s personal journey.
