We engage experts and historians to interpret, narrate, or bring history to life. In Alaska, a National Park Ranger might join you on board for up to two days; or a U.S. Forest Service wilderness ranger kayaks right up to the vessel and hops aboard to talk about natural history and their special bond with the land. Or in Hawaii, a respected elder teaches you to make poi. And on any special themed departure, your experience is enhanced by hands-on interaction with a guest host. Unbelievable Ambience Comforts and Fodder of Life On Board Wining & Dining All of our meals ensure innovative, healthful dining experiences and our executive chefs use ingredients that reflect the flavors of your destination. Mornings feature an early-riser breakfast of fresh fruit, baked-on-board pastries and breads, and a full breakfast complete with specialty items. Lunches range from pasta salads and sandwiches to homemade soups and ethnic dishes. Dinners offer a choice of entrées that include fresh seafood and meats. Vegetarian dishes are available and special dietary needs can be met with advance notice. Hors d’oeuvres are offered during the cocktail hour, and desserts are varied and plentiful. Unless there’s a barbecue on deck or some other special event, most meals are served over several courses—with particular attention to your personal preferences. We offer a casual-style dining experience, and seating is open so you are free to join new friends and choose a different table at every meal. And if you are celebrating a birthday, anniversary, or other milestone occasion, let us know before you board and our expert pastry chef will make it memorable by whipping up a surprise treat. Our approach to wetting-your-whistle is as uncharacteristic as our vessels. And depending on the one you’re on, you could find yourself in the setting of a cozy neighborhood pub, a rustic turn-of-the-century saloon, a quiet wine bar, or an intimate upscale lounge. Fine spirits, wines, and microbrews are served aboard all of our vessels, with many even featuring sustainable cask wines on tap. A rotating list of wine and microbrew selections will vary depending on your destination. On many of our itineraries, wine, beer, and spirits are included in your fare.

Outer Decks & Inner Spaces Each vessel has its own unique personality, but all share a universal goal and with you in mindâ&#x20AC;&#x201D;to relax and be comfortable. Designed to bring the outside in, they come alive with art and artifacts from the places we travel. And our open bridge policy welcomes you to visit and discuss navigation with the captain. Public spaces common throughout the fleet include an inviting dining room, main lounge or salon (with a varied collection of board games, books, and DVDs), and observation decks ideal for close-up wildlife viewing and relaxing under the stars. You may also find a hot tub, massage room, and sauna; and most of our vessels are equipped with an underwater hydrophone, a kayak launch platform or swim step (making access water to the water easy), as well as, cameras that connect to the TVs, bringing life in the water directly inside the boat!

Wellness, Fitness & Relaxation Onboard amenities allow you to escape through morning yoga stretches, relaxing in the on-deck hot tub or sauna, laps around the deck, enjoying a workout on the fitness equipment, or being pampered by our wellness instructor / massage therapist. Natureâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s splendor takes care of the rest. And at the end of your cruise, our onboard team will send you off with a renewed sense of beauty and spirit. A complimentary massage is included as an added bonus aboard the S.S. Legacy, Safari Endeavour, and Safari Explorer. AlasKa’s Inside passage A turning point in any life, it was Eliza’s first trip to Alaska. Led by a strong mind and heart, Eliza Scidmore—writer, photographer, lecturer, geographer—was a maverick in her own right. In the summer of 1883 she set sail on a fascinating journey along the Inside Passage delivering supplies and mail. Her first book recounted her Alaska travels, launching a lifelong career as a travel writer. Setting sail from Seattle heading north through the Salish Sea to Alaska, your adventure will be just as memorable.

Days 2-11 Be inspired, take in the pure air, and fill your days with backcountry hikes, paddling in pristine coves, intertidal shore walks, and fantastic companionship—orca, seals, sea lions and otters, whales, dolphins, sea birds, bald eagles, and of course, your fellow adventurers. Explore quaint Friday Harbor’s maritime history and enjoy an afternoon of gunkholing before passing through Canada’s and Alaska’s Inside Passages, a world of contrasts—gray misty mornings, whitecapped mountains, and colorful totems. Glacial valleys in Misty Fjords provide an up-close look at this majestic wilderness, some of the most monumental vistas of your journey. In Wrangell and Ketchikan, hear stories of Tlingit culture, view carved totems, and stroll notorious Creek Street, once a red-light district in downtown Ketchikan. AlasKa’s Inside passage In a land where everything is great—mountains, glaciers, wilderness, and wildlife, not to mention thousands of miles of coastline—one has to wonder what all the hubbub was about when U.S. Secretary of State William Seward instigated the purchase of Alaska from Russia. Unwavering in his effort, in March of 1867 it became Seward’s most successful achievement. The purchase was mocked by the public as “Seward’s Folly,” but rolling in his grave, he had the last laugh with the discovery of gold a mere 30 years later. Sail through the channel out of Juneau, and discover its greatness for yourself. Days 2-6 Pass go and don’t stop as you sail into Glacier Bay, one of America’s crown jewel national parks—for two days, it’s yours for the taking. Accompanied by one of the park’s rangers, take a boot-sucking hike through sandbars and rainforest and go face-to-face with glaciers, only to be greeted with a warm mug of hot chocolate when you step back on board. Lingering for wildlife during your two full days in the park, you’ll find sea lions, mountain goats, sea otters, bears, moose, eagles, brightly-colored puffins, Black Oystercatchers, and many other species of rare sea birds. With camera in hand, join the captain on the bridge or your expedition team out on deck and set your course for arguably the richest whale waters in Southeast Alaska. Days 2-6 Pass by hundreds of cascading waterfalls and some of the largest icebergs in all of Alaska, then reach the glaciers at the end of a winding fjord, and it’s sure to cure whatever ails you. Poetic in every sense of the word, the Tracy Arm Wilderness Area and Thomas Bay offer up some of the finest paddling, hiking, and legends in Southeast Alaska. Take it easy on a lush forest trail or intertidal shore walk, get down and dirty in the muskeg and mud, or go big on an 11-mile hike to a glacially-fed lake. Learn about Kushtaka—mythical shape-shifting creatures—and steer clear when exploring by kayak, paddle board, or skiffing along shore. Legends and lore continue with totems and a sacred tribal house. Mexico’s Sea of Cortés The more time one spends among the whales and the abundant marine life and magic Baja has to offer, the sooner one understands the passion Nobel Prize-winning author John Steinbeck felt on his 1940 respite from writing, collecting biological specimens in the Sea of Cortés. Stocked with supplies and a bountiful sense of adventure, you’ll put in at the tip of Baja’s southernmost point and head north, following Steinbeck’s path into the protected waters of Cousteau’s “world’s aquarium.”

Days 2-6 In this massive natural aquarium—mobula and manta rays, dolphins, blue, fin, sei, orca, humpback, 50-ton sperm whales, and the tiny animals found in tide pools—you’ll also find grand birding opportunities. Blue-footed boobies, brown pelicans, cormorants, and gulls all call the area home. Whale sharks, the largest known species of fish in the ocean, are frequent visitors in Bahía de La Paz— watch for the ‘footprint’ of these gentle giants along the water’s tranquil surface; or, if the gray whales have arrived (typically January to March) to migrate and calve in Magdalena Bay—travel over land and ride a panga to observe them in the lagoon. Among islands once pillaged for their black pearls, nestle into hidden coves, explore a natural salt chuck, hike cactus-clad rims led by your top-notch expedition team, and join a ranchero family on a burro ride in the arroyos. Stroll Loreto’s picturesque plazas for local charm; and at a steep, craggy seamount, go for a snorkel with playful, agile sea lion pups. In a setting straight out of a movie set, kayak along barnacled rocks, SUP, and skiff amidst hues of blue in Half Moon Bay, Bahía Amortajada, and Ensenada Grande. By night, look up at the stars, and watch the waters for the magical luminescence.

Days 7-8 On your last day, it’s Isla Cerralvo—where French Oceanographer Jacques Cousteau led numerous

expeditions. Abundant marine life surrounds the island—groupers and snappers, marlin, tuna, sharks, coral, and sea turtles—making it an ideal spot for escapades. Go for a paddle or some flippers, and put on your walking shoes for an exploratory hike. Following a special Farewell Dinner, enjoy a pictorial recap of your week. Back in San José del Cabo, it’s “adios.” After breakfast, a transfer to the Los Cabos airport is provided.

Mexico’s Sea of Cortés Few places on Earth have been captivating explorers for centuries and can boast such biological diversity. So when legendary diver Jacques Cousteau tagged the Sea of Cortés as the “world’s aquarium” and “Galápagos of North America,” he had experienced firsthand the richness of this underwater world. And now it’s your turn. Time to kick off your week and sail into the sunset, headed for the very island he explored—Isla Cerralvo, whose official name is Isla Jacques Cousteau.

Days 2-6 Wildlife and exploration top your agenda over the next several days. It’s the perfect environment for a marine life search. Look out for pods of dolphins, blue, fin, sei, orca and sperm whales as they spout and dive in the surrounding waters, and for Bluefooted boobies, brown pelicans, frigate birds, tropicbirds, cormorants, and gulls perched above on a rocky ledge. Whale sharks, the largest known species of fish in the ocean, are known to frequent the Bahía de La Paz—watch for the ‘footprint’ of these gentle giants along the water’s tranquil surface. On Isla San José, kayak in a mangrove sanctuary and scramble a red-rock cliff; at Bahía Agua Verde, experience the “real Baja” with a burro ride and visit with a local ranchero family; and enjoy a walking tour in the seaside village of Loreto and leisure time shopping and strolling La Paz’s malecón. Desert landscapes, volcanic ridges, and crystalline waters provide the backdrop for a week of skiff exploration, hiking, kayaking, and stargazing.

Days 7-8 Formed by a volcanic crater, the finale of your week is at one of the most beautiful islands in Baja—the Island of the Holy Spirit. The island’s idyllic wild bays offer some of the best kayaking

in the world and there’ll be time ashore for beachcombing a shell-strewn shore or hiking inland among exotic desert cacti. After tonight’s special Farewell Dinner, your expedition team recaps the week’s adventure with a slideshow. Back in San José del Cabo, your adventure concludes after breakfast with a transfer to the Los Cabos airport.

Your voyage continues in the Strait of Georgia, sailing along Canada’s Sunshine Coast to the Harmony Islands; along the intricate passages of the Gulf Islands; and through the Malibu Rapids to stunning Princess Louisa Inlet, walled in by 3,000-foot near vertical mountains. By day you’ll anchor in sheltered bays for kayaking, exploring by skiff, or hiking ashore, and by night, nestle into a remote anchorage. Reservation & Travel Information Please read carefully before booking

Full terms and conditions are available at: Un-Cruise.com Travel Documents All travel documents are e-documents and sent via email. If your reservation is paid in full and we have received your required Guest Information Forms, Final Travel Documents will be issued approximately 45 days prior to your departure. Please submit all required Guest Information Forms no later than 60 days prior to your departure. Late receipt of Guest Information Forms and/or Final Payment will delay your travel documents.

Policy on Children Families with children ages 12 and under should target our select “Kids in Nature” departures or book a private charter for the whole family. It is the responsibility of the parents or guardian to supervise their children at all times. Contact our sales counselors or refer to our website for full details.

Deposit & Final Payment Individual Booking Deposits must be received within three business days of your reservation. Reservations are not confirmed until a deposit is received. The initial deposit is refundable up to 72 hours after payment is received. The premium payment for our Travel Protection Plan must be made within 14 calendar days of the initial deposit/payment (see Travel Insurance on this page). Final payment is due 60 days prior to your departure from your home city or in full at the time reservations are confirmed if less than 60 days prior. If final payment is not received in time, your space may be released; rebooking will then be subject to final availability. Deposits and final payments may be made by check, credit card, wire transfer or money order.

Deposit Required $750 per person (cruises less than 13 nights) or $1,500 per person (cruises 13 nights or longer)

Private Charters For a private charter, a deposit equal to one-third of the total charter cost is due within seven business days of the reservation. At 270 days (9 months) before departure, a second payment equal to one-third of the total charter cost is due. Final charter payment is due 120 days (4 months) prior to departure.

Cancellation Policy Guests who cancel their cruise for any reason, including medical or family reasons, are subject to the following cancellation fees. Please refer to the Travel Insurance section for details on cancellation penalty protection.

Gratuities Gratuities are a personal matter and are entirely at the discretion of the traveler. Recommended gratuities for excellent service on the cruise are 7-10% of the published cruise fare. Gratuities are shared equally by all the crew.

Smoking Smoking is allowed only in designated areas on outside aft decks. Smoking is not allowed inside the vessels at any time.

Health and Disability Requirements Guests must notify us in writing at the time of booking of any physical or mental illness, disability or other conditions for which special accommodations or the use of a wheelchair is necessary or contemplated. Also we must be notified of any medical treatment that may render the guest unfit for travel or constitute a risk or danger to the guest or anyone else on board. Guests needing any form of assistance and those who are physically disabled must be accompanied by someone who will take full responsibility for any needed assistance during the cruise and in the event of an emergency. We reserve the right to refuse passage to anyone who, in our sole opinion, may affect the health, safety or enjoyment of other guests. Guests requiring a wheelchair must provide their own collapsible wheelchair. Please be aware that some ports of call, shore excursions, docks, gangways and other ship requirements may preclude a wheelchair guest from leaving the vessel; this decision will be made by the captain and is binding. Additionally, there may be certain physical conditions, including raised doorway thresholds from 2 to 16 inches, stairways and narrow passageways within the vessel that may limit or preclude the accessibility of wheelchair guests to some areas. Due to the limitations of vessel facilities, bookings cannot be accepted for women who will be 30 weeks or more pregnant at the conclusion of travel. Women in their third trimester (greater than 24 weeks, but less than 30 weeks) must submit a letter from their physician granting permission to travel by boat (and for air travel, if applicable).

(aka Un-Cruise Adventures) not to discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, ancestry, national origin or veteran status in its educational programs, activities or employment as required by law.

Travel Insurance Un-Cruise Adventures’ travel protection plan offers guests a wide range of services at reasonable rates. We strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance to protect yourself against cancellation penalties and travel with complete peace of mind. You will also be covered for losses due to trips cut short by illness or family emergencies or costs of baggage lost or damaged. In order to have the pre-existing medical conditions exclusion waived, this program must be purchased within 14 calendar days of the initial deposit/payment and is not refundable or transferable under any circumstances. Photographic Images Un-Cruise Adventures takes photographs of various activities throughout each cruise that sometimes include guests. Some images will be used for promotional purposes. Guests who prefer that their image not be used must notify the expedition or heritage leader on board. Guests who give images to our onboard team are thereby giving Un-Cruise Adventures permission to use such images for promotional purposes.
