The Life of Mother Mamie Mother Mamie Lou Robinson Jones fought a good fight throughout her journey that began on November 4, 1945, when our Heavenly Father entrusted her into the hands of her loving parents the late Virgil and Lula Robinson. They trained Mamie and brought her up in the fear of the Lord leading her to confess a hope in Christ at the age of ten at Mount Olive #1 Missionary Baptist Church. As Mamie kept the faith she served faithfully as a choir member, Sunday School Teacher, President of the Mother’s Board, and a mighty prayer warrior until her health failed. Up until the day of her homegoing, Mamie faithfully served as an Intercessor with many prayer groups and prayed daily for others as she watched God change things. Mamie finished her race on November 13, 2018, when her soul winged and took flight from this world of sin, sorrow, and pain to a place of eternal rest. There is now laid up for her the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge will give to her on that day and not to her only, but also to all who have loved His appearing. Mamie was preceded in death by three sisters: Catherine Robinson, Clora Swift Young, Maxine Grandberry Davis, and one brother, Virgil Robinson, Jr. Mamie leaves to cherish her memory two loving daughters: Minister Lora Brewer and Minister Bobbie Higgins; nine grandchildren: Nakeva, Donta, Calvin, Lorenzo, Kenneth, Kenterio, Kendreana, Javion, and Zekyrah; six great-grandchildren: Kahlia, Vedra, Robert, Keshun, Malaya, and Claudia; one sister, Brenda (Richard) Bullock of Boston, Massachusetts; one brother, Willie Robinson; two adopted daughters: Evangelist Shelby Lynn Tate and Tonya Vester; two adopted sons, Curtis Frazier and Bruce Whitehorn; one adopted grandchild, Teresa Walker; one uncle, Thomas Darden; a special friend, Mary Stigger, and a host off nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to mourn her passing.
