To My Loving Sister We were bound together since your birth. We played, laughed, argued, cried and LOVED through the years. Our lives took different roads in our adult lives, but our love remained. You fought a good fight, and you ran your race. Although I will miss you, take your rest in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior until we’re together again. Your Sister,
Adelaide

To My Family & Friends I’ve fought a good fight and I have finished my course. It is well with my soul. I pray that my life has taught you to put God first in everything and love people the way Christ loves you. Though life will from time to time offer some hurtful and harsh circumstances, my hope is that you have seen God demonstrate through me that “Greater is He that’s in you than he that’s in the world”. So, therefore, my children, sisters, brothers, and friends, Be strong and of good courage as you continue this journey. For now, I have to leave you, but I’m going to join the great cloud of witnesses, so you can rest assured that I will be cheering you on as you finish your race. Remember to always live life to the fullest, acknowledging God in all of your ways and no matter what obstacles you encounter, “Never give up” the race. There are certain principles in this life that will work for you all, regardless of being just or unjust, the first of these is: Love one another and bear one another’s burdens… Only by this love that you show to one another will people know you are Christ’s disciple, and the second, always Do Unto Others as You Would Have them Do Unto You. Dr. Patricia A. Guines - Malone
To Our Dear Godmother To some of us, you’re known as Lil Mama. To some you’re known as Ms. Malone, to others, Mama or Aunt Pat, but to all of us you have been a major influence on our natural development and spiritual growth. As a Godmother, you have taught us to Love God with all of our hearts and treat people with kindness and respect. You spent time with us teaching us to pray when things didn’t go as planned and to smile in the face of adversity. You helped our parents teach us the principles of hard work, honesty, and integrity. For some of us, you helped us study and prepare papers during our secondary and postsecondary education. You took us on trips with you to expose us to a life and cultures beyond Memphis. You stayed up all night praying for us when we were sick. You helped us heal when our hearts were broken, when we seemed to be misfits in society, you told us that God had a purpose and plan for our lives. Our dear Godmother, You taught us to be strong, steadfast and unmovable and to trust God even when we can’t trace Him. For some of us, you’ve been there even while we were in our mother’s womb. Others of us, you claimed along the way. Regardless to the season we came to know you in, one thing is for sure: You made a major impact and an indelible print in all of our lives. Though we hate to see you go, today, we receive the mantle and we are going to run with it and make you very proud. We Love You so Much!!!
Your Godchildren
