Life Reflections
Regina Denise Williams was born to Joy Dean Williams and O.C. Williams on September 19, 1959, in Memphis, Tennessee. Regina was baptized at the age of thirteen at Martin Memorial Temple CME Church. Upon graduating from the historic George Washington Carver High School in 1976, she attended Shelby State Community College. She was a member of Greater Open Door Baptist Church for many years. She later joined Advocate Fellowship Church under the leadership of Pastor Y. C. Cox Jr. Regina faithfully served as a member of the trustee board and participated in many organizations. Regina worked for Pinnacle Airlines/Northwest Airlines for thirteen years as a Gate Agent and proudly served the Memphis Police Department for thirty-three years. During her career with the Police Department, she worked as a Crime Analyst for twenty-five years. Regina had a big loving heart and was happy to be an assistant leader with Girl Scout Troop #3 for thirteen years. Additionally, she volunteered for CLICK (Christ Living in Christian Kids) at Galloway United Methodist Church, where she made an impact on many children’s lives. Planning, decorating, reading, shopping and traveling were among some of her favorite hobbies. She is preceded in death by one brother, Randy Brown. To cherish her legacy, Regina leaves her loving daughter, Aisha Swauncy, who was her pride and joy; her parents, Joy Dean Williams and O.C. Williams; a niece, Raneshia Brown; a great-niece, Kayla Brown and great-nephew, Raylan Brown; three aunts, three uncles and a host of other relatives and friends.
