IF AWARDS : Mini Family Pickup
Aim to design a smart, compact, family pick up truck. With the roads today are over conjusted a smart pickup/family car is what the market needs. The car would run compressed air and electricity. Dihatsu midget will be the donner vehicle for the chassis.
Challenge was to design a mini pickup truck which could also transform into a 3 seater car.

Sketching Time line Intial ideas where based on compact size panels. I also played with different shapes to increase space while keeping the design new and modern.

Final idea sketches pickup/small family car. The car can seat one driver and two passengers in line and can carry 150kg.
CGI: Dune Buggy Group Project The aim is to design a dune buggy of from 1973. The design should be new and exciting but not too futurisitc. The design should be based on a donner vehicle. VW polo GTi as our donner vehicle.
Dune Buggy Project
In 1966 a dune buggy raced in the famous Pikes Peak in south California. Despite being laughed at the dune buggy won the race and the respect of racing fans. Buggy popularity grew among the racing community until 1973 when the buggy class was depleted. Recently however, buggies started racing again and can now be seen in a large number of events around the world.
The idea behind our proposal is to create an entry level racing series for drivers and teams loking to enter tha WRC, the Dakar Rally or any other major competition. This series would at the end of the season, where the winners from each country race. Each event would immitate the WRC format with timed stages.
Sketching Time line things like dragsters, hot rods and even open wheel racing cars. We tried to add a buggy element to our designs and a tough, off-road look. We also found the frame of cars interesting. We looked at cars with exposed structure like the Ariel Atom and used the frame as a feature of our design.

Final idea
When we started working on a CAD model we realised the potential of our design and kept developing our idea. We changed minor details that made a big impact on the overall design. The lights, tyres and panels, all slowly evolved into a more complete design proposal. We also focused on making the buggy look as much as a VW as we could.
racing buggy. Three pieces of bodywork are attached on the frame to create an image of a futuristic, light and agile racer with some clear VW references like the front lights and VW racing colors and logo. Big tyres and wide tyres help with traction and handling and make the buggy look mean and aggressive.

the world change car design. The 2050 world is divided in two halfs. Technology and Green. The design should show the transformation when moving from technology to green and visa-versa.
Rules/Limits Caged
Design for 2050 Describe what the world would be in 2050 and design a suitable vehicle. Think about the present state of the world and where are we heading too?

One seater car design
The intial idea was to have a single seater car with a cage designed around the body and the driver. Aim was to transform the cage into a more open car as it enters the ‘Green’ side of the world. Design for 2050
change of worlds. From rules and limits to freedom.
In this project we had to design a eco-friendly car interior. I choose hydrogen as my fuel.
Post petrol project To design the interior of a eco friendly car. How will the interior of the car be different? Does the fuel used have an effect in the interior design?
Post Petrol. Interior
The seats have water bags for comfort.
The steering wheel design is based on the molecule form of water.
The seat makes a splash form, with panels on either side.
The steering wheel is attaches to a wave like dashboard This panel has a touch screen display.
Since the only by product of hydrogen powered cars is water, it was onlt appropiate to design around the different where the driver sits within the wave and the passengers sit in a more inclined position.
