Dear Participants, It is my utmost pleasure to be the one entrusted with giving you a warm welcome and leading the academic side of this session. In only a few weeks we will be standing under the Azerbaijani sun in Barda and I will be giving you another welcome, this time in person. How do you feel about embarking in this journey? Think about when you will be sitting in the bus from Baku to Barda. Think about the wheels of the bus pushing on the asphalt, the loud and enthusiastic voices in the bus and the windows which dynamically change the images that they show to us. And even if this metaphor is a clichĂŠ one, it illustrates both literally and comparatively what are you about to experience. During this conference you will have to push the asphalt with your own feet and stand in your own ground but also go forward. Yet, you will have a bunch of great and driven people around you that will support you but also challenge you. Finally, you will see everything from a handful of different experiences, your window to the world will keep changing.
How we want to accomplish it? By making mistakes. Yes, I did not write this by error! I mean by making mistakes and learning from them, by allowing ourselves to experiment and go beyond our limits. Because this is the space and these are the possibilities that EYP sessions give us. Very often I expected things to work out from the very first attempt, without realising that my experiences were indeed attempt, that served for me to learn of what went wrong and why. Mistakes have often too much of a determinative aspect in our lives. One misstep and everything can change. Yet, changes of plans and little flaws are integral and necessary parts of every EYP session. They allow this organisation to grow, exchange expertise and provide constructive feedback.
5
The 3rd International Forum of EYP Azerbaijan will try to emphasise the aspect of personal development through “trial and error”, by working on methods of pinpointing possible risks in one’s work and how to learn from unsuccessful attempts. It will also focus on the theme of “Humannes”, which is an integral part of our own selves and has different definitions. Making mistakes is indeed a human thing, and allows us to discover our humanness even more. I encourage you, the delegates to keep that in mind when you will be preparing for the session, most importantly during the session, but also later. Do not be afraid of trying new things, do not be afraid of going out of your comfort zone. Do not be afraid, because you will see that once you get off that bus, your luggage will be much richer and full of experiences, but also much lighter to carry. However, If the bus stops, you are not alone, as we will put the engine back in motion all together! I cannot wait to meet you very soon!

Dear Participants, We would like to take the opportunity to welcome you in the 3rd International Forum of EYP Azerbaijan. Whether this is your first session or you can’t count how many sessions you have been to, our team will work hard to ensure a great EYP experience for all you. We, as leaders of the media team of the session, aim to capture the session to keep it with you when you go back home. We are here not only to make your experience more exciting with incredible projects or our amazing media team, but also to keep the session alive after it ends. However, we would like to go above the simple goal. This session is special - it is a collision between local and international cultures, and we strive to maintain that mix and make it unforgettable. Media team is not only about leaving you with great photos for your profile pics: especially this time. You will discover local culture along with EYP Spirit and we are happy to be one of your guides in this journey!

HOSTING CITY Barda is located on the Kur-Araz lowland, 87 meters above sea level, right in the heart of the Garabagh plain. Geographers describe this city as a “flourishing town with a citadel, a mosque, a circuit wall and gates, and a Sunday bazaar.” One of the most beautiful regions in Azerbaijan, Barda was mentioned as "The Mother of the Arran Towns". In the past, the city was a key stop on the Great Silk Road. A great number of the famous "Garabagh Type" carpets, made by Azerbaijani craftsmen, were produced in Barda. Barda was founded in the 460s AD, with its spellbinding historical past, which has considerably influenced the architectural diversity of the city. Old Barda’s most historical part is stretched between the seaport and the Boulevard, and features distinctive building facades and balconies.

SESSION THEME One love, one heart, one human nation Considering sufferings of human beings in different parts of the world and sad pictures we see during our daily life, we decided to focus on the importance of humanity and dedicated the session to the humanness. Humanness is not showing passion and empathy to each other at times of need but about regarding love in high esteem and kindness in all walks of life. It is all about using hearts along with the minds in all endeavours of human kind.

ELEMENTS ………………………… Committee Work Committee Work is one of the most responsible parts of EYP sessions. This one usually contains a lot of discussions and brainstorms. In the first day, delegates have to write problems related to their topic. On their second day, they have to write solutions according to their problems. Eventually, the committee composes a resolution which delegates have to defend at the General Assembly. Dress Code: Smart Casual
General Assembly General Assembly is the final part of the session where all the committees are given the floor to present and then defend their resolutions. General Assembly is the place where you show others how hard you worked during past four days and are encouraged to prove that you deserve to get it voted in favor. During GA, participants discuss their work and debate on every controversial issue that is mentioned in their resolutions. Dress Code: Formal
