For the 2011 HF Hall Fly-In we have identified four topics from our 2011 Priority policies to be the main focus of our meetings with Congressional Members. They include: • Protect the Lacey Act – support funding. • Expand the pro-hardwood use policies in government purchasing (GSA, DOD, USDA) with greater use of LCA’s/EPD’s. • No additional regulatory costs to an industry still in recession: Clean Water Act/Boiler MACT/APHIS export certificates are costs we can’t afford. • Progress regarding the USFS and proper management tactics.
