Why study FRENCH? French is the second most widely learned foreign language after English, and the ninth most widely spoken language in the world. French is also the only language, alongside English, that is taught in every country in the world.
When choosing your language of study for 7th grade, think about the following: • choose the language that you think you will like – discuss with your parents and decide for yourselves! • imagine yourself speaking the language, do you like the way it sounds? Are you interested in the culture, in visiting the country or studying there someday?
Let’s speak some FRENCH!! Bonjour! Comment ça va? Ça va bien! Ça va très bien! Ça va mal. Comme ci, comme ça. Pas mal.
Comment t’appelles-tu? Je m’appelle ( …..add your name…..). Enchanté! A bientôt! Au revoir! Let’s sing a little French greeting song!
