FAMILY SWIM #100 Swimming is a sport that is good for people of all ages. It’s fun, easy and an ideal activity that all members of the family can do together. No instruction or activity is planned. The following rules apply: (1) Children may not attend without their own parent. (2) No family or friend substitutions are permitted. (3) A child who is less than 4’ 6” must be attended by a parent at all times. (4) Flotation devices are not permitted. Lifeguards are on duty during this program. EARLY SPRING SESSION: Saturdays beginning January 16 (12-week session) Time: 3 pm – 4 pm Fee: $95.00 LATE SPRING SESSION: Saturdays beginning May 8 (6-week session) Time: 3 pm – 4 pm Fee: $50.00
ADULT LAP SWIMMING #101 Swimming is an all-around physical conditioning activity. This is for people who would like an opportunity to enhance or maintain their cardio-respiratory and muscular fitness. Lines separating fast, medium and slow lanes will be in the pool. Showers, dressing areas and lockers are furnished. Lifeguards are on duty during this program. Must be 18 years old. Proof of age is required. Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays beginning January 6 (15-session card) Time: 8 pm – 9:45 pm Fee: $100.00

LEARN TO SWIM FOR CHILDREN #102 With so many backyard pools and boats in the area, more and more children are spending time in and/or near water. Safety for children begins with being confident and capable in the water. This course teaches correct strokes, breathing, floating and water safety. All children will be tested during the first session and placed in a class based on ability. The course is for children ages 6 and up. Must be 6 years old on or before March 1. Proof of age is required. Saturdays beginning January 16 (12-week session) 3 Available Times: 12 noon – 12:50 pm, 1 pm – 1:50 pm, and 2 pm – 2:50 pm Fee: $125.00
ADULT LEARN TO SWIM #103 This course is for adults who cannot swim or want to improve their swimming skills. Topics include proper breathing, floating, strokes and water safety. Thursdays beginning March 11 (10-week session) Time: 8 pm – 9 pm Fee: $100.00
SPRINGBOARD DIVING #104
PRE-SCHOOLERS LEARN TO SWIM #113
This course will cover the basics of springboard diving: approach, hurdle, take-off, flight and entry. Emphasis will be on proper techniques and form. In addition, all five groups of dives will be taught: forward, back, reverse, inward and twisting. The spring course will also emphasize competition-level dives and techniques used in competition. Saturdays beginning January 16 (12-week session) Time: 10 am – 11 am and 11 am – 12 noon Fee: $120.00 for HHH students/ $180.00 for non-residents
This could be a child’s first swimming experience without a parent. Water orientation is taught with emphasis on kicking, arm pull/breath control, back float and water safety skills. AMERICAN RED CROSS WATER SAFETY INSTRUCTOR TRAINING #111
Aquarobics is a form of rhythmic exercise that supports the body while using water as resistance. Swimming ability is not required. EARLY SPRING SESSION: Saturdays beginning January 16 (12-week session) Time: 10 am – 10:45 am Fee: $70.00 LATE SPRING SESSION: Saturdays beginning May 8 (6-week session) Time: 10 am – 10:45 am Fee: $40.00

If you are at least 16 years old and a proficient swimmer, you can become an American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor. Learn to teach children and adults safety, survival and swimming skills, and teach your community about water safety. It is fun and you’ll develop valuable teaching and leadership skills. Tuesdays beginning January 19 (12-week session) Time: 7 pm – 10 pm Fee: $185.00 for HHH residents/ $200.00 for non-residents Make-up Date - May 4 - 7 pm - 10 pm
BABIES LEARN TO SWIM #112
RECERTIFICATION FOR CPR/AED FOR THE PROFESSIONAL RESCUER #109
This is a parent-orientation and water-adjustment program. It is designed to familiarize both the parent and the baby with the water and make the baby comfortable in the water. There are many safety techniques that are taught to the baby and the parent. This course is for children ages 6 months to 2 years. Saturdays beginning May 8 (6-week session) Time: 11 am – 11:45 am Fee: $50.00
This course is suitable for those who need recertification in CPR/AED for the professional rescuer. Participants must complete written testing and perform practical scenarios to recertify. Please bring breathing mask, current certifications and $10.00 for ARC certification cards. Wednesday, May 26 or Monday, June 28 Time: 6 pm – 10 pm Fee: $45.00 for HHH residents/ $65.00 for non-residents
RECERTIFICATION FOR WATERFRONT LIFEGUARDING AND FIRST AID #110 This course is suitable for currently certified lifeguards who need recertification. Participants must complete written testing and perform water skill scenarios to recertify. Please bring current certifications and $6 for ARC certification card. WATERFRONT LIFEGUARD #107 The American Red Cross Waterfront Lifeguard Course provides participants with the skills and knowledge needed to prevent, recognize and respond to emergencies in and around aquatic facilities. Also included will be First Aid, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer. Prerequisites: • Must be able to swim a combination of front crawl and breaststroke for 550 yards • Swim 25 yards, retrieve a 10-pound object from 10-foot pool bottom and swim 25 yards back to starting point • Swim 15 yards underwater and retrieve diving rings • Participants muse be 15 years of age or older. Please bring $53.00 fee for book and breathing mask to first class. Mondays beginning January 11 (15-week program) Time: 6:45 pm – 10 pm Fee: $200 for HHH students/$300 for non-HHH students Make-up Date - May 24 - 6:45 pm - 10 pm
