AMERICAN RED CROSS LEARN TO SWIM FOR CHILDREN #102
SENIOR CITIZEN SWIM #106
With so many backyard pools and boats in the area, more and more children are spending time in and/or near water. Safety for children begins with being confident and capable in the water. This course teaches correct strokes, breathing, floating and water safety. All children will be tested during the first session and placed in a class based on ability. The course is for children ages 6 and up. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays beginning June 27 (15 sessions) 2 Available Times: 1 pm – 1:50 pm / 2 pm – 2:50 pm Fee: $150.00
ADULT LEARN TO SWIM #103 This course is for adults who cannot swim or want to improve their swimming skills. Topics include proper breathing, floating, strokes and water safety. Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning June 28 (10 sessions) Time: 8 pm – 9 pm Fee: $100.00
AQUAROBICS #105 Aquarobics is a form of rhythmic exercise that supports the body while using water as resistance. Swimming ability is not required. Mondays and Wednesdays beginning June 27 (10 sessions) Time: 8 pm – 9 pm Fee: $70.00
This is an opportunity for our district senior residents to make use of the Natatorium. Showers, dressing rooms, lockers and supervision are provided. There is a maximum enrollment of 75. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays beginning June 27 (15 sessions) Time: 3:15 pm – 4:15 pm Fee: $30.00 Summer only
SPRINGBOARD DIVING #104 This course will cover the basics of springboard diving: approach, hurdle, take-off, flight and entry. Emphasis will be on proper techniques and form. In addition, all five groups of dives will be taught: forward, back, reverse, inward and twisting. The spring course will also emphasize competition-level dives and techniques used in competition. Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning June 28 (10 session) Time: 3:00 pm – 4:15 pm Fee: $100.00 for HHH students/ $150.00 for non-residents
AMERICAN RED CROSS PRESCHOOLERS LEARN TO SWIM #113 This could be a child’s first swimming experience without a parent. Water orientation is taught with emphasis on kicking, arm pull/breath control, back float and water safety skills. The course is for children ages 3 to 5 years. Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning June 28 (10 sessions) 2 Available Times: 1 pm – 1:50 pm / 2 pm – 2:50 pm Fee: $75
