Earn College Credit WHO Students taking Half Hollow Hills East’s College Italian. WHAT The opportunity to earn Stony Brook University credit for: ITL 212: Intermediate Italian II Intermediate course in the reading and discussion of selected Italian texts. Completion of grammatical and syntactic points not covered in Elementary Italian. Extensive practice in conversational ability. Prerequisite: Completion of Stony Brook University's ITL 211 or the equivalent, or permission of the instructor. 3 credits WHEN 2010-2011 Academic Year WHERE Right here at Half Hollow Hills East High School. WHY Stony Brook’s Accelerated College Education (ACE) Program provides students with the academic challenges of college-level curriculum within the high school setting. Enrollment in ACE courses may provide future opportunities to students, such as the ability to enroll in higher-level college courses or to complete a four-year degree in a shorter amount of time. Upon successful completion of ACE course requirements, students will receive credit from Stony Brook University for the course(s) in which they have enrolled and for which they have paid. Stony Brook tuition and fees are waived; pay only a $250 ACE Program Fee. Registering for this course also entitles you to a Stony Brook University Student I.D., with free admission to our NCAA Division I home games, student discounts for Staller Center events and movies, access to the University’s Libraries, and more.
