AMERICAN RED CROSS LIFEGUARD #107 This full course consists of American Red Cross Lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer. The course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to prevent, recognize, and respond to emergencies in and around pools. based upon water strength and performance on the prerequisite swim test ONLY. Prerequisite testing for acceptance into the course will include: Swim 300 yards continuously using the front crawl (freestyle) and/ or breaststroke. Tread water for 2 minutes using only the legs. Swim 20 yards, surface dive 12 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object, swim 20 yards on your back with both hands holding the object and keeping your face at or near the surface, and exit the water. This must be performed in 100 seconds or less.

Dates: Tuesdays – Class runs March 5, Ends mid-June 12 classes plus the prerequisite testing session Time: 6:45 PM – 10:00 PM Location: HS West, classroom 103 Fee: $375.00 for HHH residents plus $36 for ARC admin fee. $425.00 for non-HHH residents plus $36 for ARC admin fee. Fee includes course manual, breathing masks, whistle and hip pack. IMPORTANT NOTE: All 12 classes must be attended in order to obtain your American Red Cross certification – NO EXCEPTIONS!

RECERTIFICATION FOR LIFEGUARDING WITH CPR/AED #110 This course is suitable for those who have a current LFGT/1st Aid/ CPR/AED certification that requires renewal. A prerequisite swim test and validation of the participant’s current ARC certification will be conducted on the first night of class. During the course, participants will receive a full review of all material. Participants must complete written testing and practical skill scenarios to receive certification. Bring your breathing masks, current certifications, bathing suit and $36.00 cash for the ARC certification cards to the first class. This course will be given over a 3-day period and attendance at all three sessions is mandatory to receive certification. RECERTIFICATION FOR CPR/AED #109 This course is suitable for those who need certification renewal for CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer (Lifeguard). Participants must complete written and skill testing to receive certification. American Red Cross certification is valid for two years. Bring breathing masks, certifications and $36.00 cash for ARC Admin fee. (Only one date required to receive certification.)

SENIOR CITIZEN SWIM #106 Join for the Spring 2019: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays - March 4 - June 21 Time: 2:15 PM - 3:00 PM Fee: $50.00 for those registering only for March through June

ADAPTIVE SWIM CLASS#108 This class is suitable for individuals with physical or mental disabilities that prevent them from learning in a group setting. Classes are one-to-one and instructors will teach skills based upon the abilities of each individual students.

** REGISTRATION MUST BE DONE IN ADVANCE ** Saturdays - March 9 - June 22 Choose one of the two available times: 10:00 AM - 10:50 AM - OR - 2:00 PM - 2:50 PM Fee: $120.00 for 12 Classes THERE WILL BE NO REGISTRATION ON THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS. It is recommended to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to start of the class for student to be assigned to an instructor.

ARC: WATER SAFETY INSTRUCTOR #111 Must be at least 16 years old on or before the last day of the course (6/6) . This course will teach you skills that may save a life, and you’ll gain terrific work experience as an aquatic specialist. You will learn educational and presentational skills that will help you in any career and make a difference in the lives of others. With a WSI Certification, you can teach: Parent & Child Aquatics; Preschool Aquatics; 6 Levels of American Red Cross Learnto-Swim; Adult Learn-to-Swim; Water Safety Courses; Basic Water Rescue; Safety Training for Swim Coaches; Longfellow’s WHALE Tales. Pre Requisite Swim Test Date: Thursday, March 7 Date: Thursdays, 7:15 PM - 10:15 PM 11 class dates run from March 14 - June 6 Location: HS West, meet in classroom 103 Fee: $375.00 registration plus $35.00 for American Red Cross Certification card and $44.99 for the WSI candidate kit.
