Description Through this college-level program, high school students will explore an academic area of interest in a challenging and supportive University-based learning community. The Pre-College Program offers a variety of different course topics from which students can choose and all Pre-College classes are taught by Adelphi’s nationally recognized faculty. Looking to earn college credit? Our for-credit class options provide students with the opportunity to earn 3 transferable college credits which can be applied toward future degrees. We also offer non-credit program options for those students who wish to gain a unique college experience. If you're in high school, you don't have to wait to get your college career started. Through The University of Alabama Early College program you can take college courses online or on campus while still in high school, earning up to 30 credit hours. Thousands of high school students have gotten a big jump on college through UA Early College. Alfred University offers several academic and sports related residential learning programs for elementary and high school students interested in everything from astronomy and drone flying to swimming and Western Equestrian horseback riding. Residential camps provide hands-on, intensive learning for students in a safe, supportive and fun atmosphere. At AMDA Hollywood or AMDA New York, your days will be filled with dynamic performing arts classes and your nights spent in rehearsals. FINAL PERFORMANCES At the conclusion of the program, all students perform in a Final Performance production, which is filmed by a professional camera crew. This program provides experiential learning courses in communication, international studies, and politics. High school students with a B or better grade point average may enroll as a non-degree student in summer courses at the 100- or 200- level. Amigos De Las Americas inspires and builds young leaders through collaborative community development and immersion in cross-cultural experiences. An international relations summer program that helps high school students build knowledge and skills to become better leaders. Five (5) students from Long Island will be selected to participate in this program. The program is open to current high school juniors and seniors. Providing an early college experience for academically talented rising juniors and high school seniors, Binghamton Summer College offers a two-week program. Summer Immersion Program deepens your knowledge of a topic through collaborative learning and an exploration of the diverse intellectual and cultural resources. This program offers courses in film, medicine, science, and art.
Several opportunities are available for high school students, including Camp Psychology, Sunderman Piano Institute, Writing Camp, 3D Object Modeling and Printing Camp, Coding for Robotics and Electronics Camp, and Civil War Institute Summer Conference. GVI offers various programs to high school students, including those under the age of 18. Students are able to focus on a specific program (i.e. animal care, construction, healthcare, marine conservation, sports, teaching, etc.). Programs vary in location and length. Students are given the opportunity to visit three to five different communities, providing a cross-section of cultures and environments from rural villages to capital cities. Students have the opportunity to explore classes in Psychology, Veterinary Science, Forensic Science, Writer’s Workshop, Culinary Arts, Pre-Med/AP Biology, and Studio Arts. This program allows high school students to experience college-level mathematics in a sixweek intensive program. Training Program for campers who are entering 8th thru 11th grade.
