Summer camps at the farm!

Do you have a child that loves farm animals? Rutledge-Wilson Farm Park has full- and half-day summer camp programs starting in June. Campers will learn about animals, nature, and life on the farm through games, crafts, animal interactions and hands-on activities. Cost for full-day camps is $80 per camper. Half-day camps are $40 per camper. boxes as they find the answers to that question and more. We’ll also take a closer look at how vegetables grow as campers help plant a garden at the farm that will grow all season long.

Garden Gang (Ages 4-5) May 20 - May 24 • 9 a.m.-Noon May is the perfect time to start a garden. Children will learn where their food comes from and how plants grow. Each day we will have interactive lessons, games, and story times.

Earth Keepers (Ages 8-9) June 17 - June 21• 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Farmers not only “live off the land” when they grow the food that we eat, but they also affect it. Join us at the farm as we learn about the world around us through handson activities and investigations.

Rutledge-Wilson Had a Farm (Ages 4-5) June 10 - June 14 • 9 a.m.-Noon Everyone wants to visit the big red barn! Campers will learn how all the animals inside help us and make farms such a fun place to visit through animal interactions, games, activities and crafts.

Once Upon a Farm (Ages 6-7) July 8 - July 12 • 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Do you know who lives on a farm? Join us as we take a peek inside the barn and learn about the animals found inside, their care and the products they provide for us.

Wild Wild West (Ages 4-5) June 24 - June 28 • 9 a.m.-Noon. Calling all cowboys and cowgirls! This week, campers will participate in westernthemed activities and spend time with horses that are just their size.

Discovery Barn (Ages 6-7) July 22 - July 26 • 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Do you have an inquisitive child who wants to know everything about animals? In this camp, we will discover the answers to basic animal questions as we explore the barn and learn about the animals that live there.

Feathered Friends (Ages 4-5) July 15 - July 19 • 9 a.m.-Noon Summer is “egg-citing” at Rutledge-Wilson Farm Park as we discover all about birds. Campers will cluck, gobble, and quack as they learn why birds are an important part of a farm through animal interactions, games, activities, and crafts.

Best in Show (Ages 10-12) August 5- August 9 • 9 a.m.-3 p.m. During the summer many farmers enjoy displaying their animals at summer fairs. Campers will discover firsthand how to prepare and train their own animal for a fair that we will have at the end of the week.

Munch, Crunch, Grow Your Lunch (Ages 6-7) June 3 - June 7 • 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Do you know where your lunch comes from? Campers will “dig” into their lunch-
