Refrigerator Notes In this issue.. Features
Whew! Good-bye, 2021—Hello, 2022! I know you agree, it’s been a long couple of years navigating through the coronavirus pandemic, and we’re not finished yet. Still, there is reason to be optimist with the beginning of a new year. This is a great time to help your bigs and littles start fresh. Maybe it’s keeping their rooms clean. Maybe it’s helping more around the house or with a pet. Maybe it is reading more or having a family game night once a week. Whatever it is, remember the best “resolutions” are specific, attainable, and measurable (you know what success looks like) on a time line (I will do X by Y time.) What if you aren’t a resolution kind of person? That’s OK, too. Take stock of the blessings around you, care about others AND yourself. For me, my resolution is to get on top of paper by setting aside a day each month to be my “paper day.” (Angela, my assistant, is laughing reading this .) I like to think of myself as an organized person, but you wouldn’t know it if you saw my desk and office. We’ll see how I do with that day in January. My success will hinge on blocking off the day in my calendar and sticking with it. Each and every day, tell your kids you love them. Give lots of hugs. Love the earth and all it provides. Wash your hands, wear a mask around others, and be good to yourself. Remember to take care of yourself. You’ve got this! |
