Before- and after-school programs with Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield enable youth ages 5-18 to participate in a variety of fun activities, promoting good character and citizenship, healthy lifestyles, and academic success. Through BGCS, youth have access to after-school meals and supportive relationships with caring adults. Seven unique locations serve more than 2,300 kids throughout the Springfield-metro area. Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield also provides year-round sports opportunities. See ad on page 14.

Girls on the Run of Southwest Missouri

Girls on the Run of Southwest Missouri serves girls in 3rd-5th grades in Greene and Christian Counties. Trained volunteer coaches reach girls of all abilities in a team setting to strengthen their confidence and build life skills through dynamic, interactive lessons, and physical activity. At the end of the season, the teams complete a 5K together. If a GOTR team isn’t at your school, contact the office for information on starting a team. See ad on page 9.
