“TO BE THE BRIDGE BETWEEN CHALLENGES & SOLUTIONS, GOOD WILL & ACTION” The Grow Africa Foundation was created by Hideaways with the aim of making a positive impact on the environment, community and economy in the areas we operate. Our promise: Guests play an active part in the conservation of Africa’s wildlife, natural habitats and communities. OUR BURNING ISSUES Dingani Primary School is a rural school close to Hwange National Park and our eco-lodge Elephant’s Eye, Hwange. Our Foundation supports the school through various initiatives, as well as conservation awareness projects and school maintenance programs. Our new projects for this year include: • Sponsorship of Early Childhood Development Teachers: There is only 1 teacher for 108 students, we require assistance in employing more (at US$ 200 / month). • Sponsorship of Student’s School Fees: More than 50 % of the students cannot afford the school fees (US$ 30 / year). WE ARE APPEALING TO SPONSORS FOR ASSISTANCE FOR BOTH THESE PROJECTS. PROJECT PENYA PACK FOR A PURPOSE CWF ANTI-POACHING UNIT Keeping girls in school, allowing them to shine, ending the stigma of menstruation in rural African communities that’s our goal. We’ve provided reusable sanitary pads and panties for grade 6 and 7 girls and hosted a Life Skills workshop; we want to continue on this path sustainably.

Allows travellers to give back to the communities they are visiting and make a lasting impact, by sparing just a few kilos of space in their suitcase and using it for much-needed school supplies instead.

Hideaways is a founding member of The Conservation and Wildlife Fund, the CWF Anti-Poaching Unit is dedicated to protecting and conserving the animals of Hwange National Park.
