SECRETARY’S MESSAGE
What A Year! Is it just me or has thi s year gone past in a whirlwind? I can’t believ e it is autumn already. Everything has got ba ck to normal for mo st people, shows have ret urned, people going on holiday once again an d the majority of peop le are back in the office. The past couple of yea rs have been very difficult for everyone so it is good to be out and about aga in meeting friends old and new. It was great to see so ma ny members and friend s at the Royal Highland Show and the Great Yorkshire Show. Unfor tunately, this year I cou ld not attend the Royal We lsh Show, I am very much looking forward to meeti ng everyone at the 202 3 show. Our website shop was launched in June this yea r and is proving to be ver A huge thank you to Izz y successful. y Rainey who gifted the Highland Cattle Societ her designs which allo y with 2 of ws us to produce produ cts that can only be pu the Highland Cattle Soc rchased from iety. A beautiful Fine Bo ne China mug was als commemorate our patro o created to n, Her Majesty The Queen ’s Platinum Jubilee. Also, to Lara Mullis who is in thank you charge of the distributi on of each purchase. Membership is on the increase for the second year in a row and the Highland Cattle has be demand for en huge leaving many members with little or sell at Society Sales. Reg no cattle to istration numbers contin ue to be encouraging als o. I would like to welcome all the new members wh o have joined over the year, and I hope they rea past p the benefits of being a member of the societ y. Thank you to all our me mbers for your support over the last year. Finally, a big thank you to Janet, David and all the Trustees for all their hard work and dedic ation throughout the year.
