The company’s agricultural production and its processing plant are certified organic as per BCS OEKO-Guaranties of Germany protocol, allowing it to carry the labels of European Union Organic Agriculture and USDA organic for the sale of its products, which are produced in an environmentally friendly manner and paying a fair price that covers the cost of production and permits a profit margin for its growers. The company also promotes tourism through the Expotour Sierra-Selva Central (Mountain and Central Jungle), an event that takes place each year in the capital city of Lima, Peru. At the event, the company has presented spectacles like the largest pineapple, largest coffee brewer, and largest fruit salad in the world, which has helped it earn three Guinness World Records and to distribute 24 000 portions of free fruit to those who participated.

Orgánic Certification Program under the cosmic influence and Fair Trade This is an alternative economic solution for small growers who, because of limited economic resources, benefit greatly from technical assistance, organic certification, and Fair Trade guidelines. These are growers who previously sold in conventional markets, and often were forced to sell at prices at or below their production costs. In order to change this harsh reality, Chanchamayo Highland Coffee, with the support of municipalities, Proyecto Especial Pichis Palcazú, the Ministry of Agriculture, and German International Cooperation (GIZ), has contracted the professional services of two agricultural engineers and sixteen agro-technicians, that are responsible for providing technical assistance to the 22 organizations, which include 2300 growers who are given technical help strengthening their organizations by way of training, improving of roads, and certification of BCS OEKO - Garantie of Germany, recognized globally and charged with the inspection, evaluation, and ultimately, the emission of organic certification.

9.- MISHA COFFEE The rarest and most expensive beverage in the world.- Coffee cherries attract a number of jungle animal, among them the misha (Nasua nasua) that only feeds on the finest coffee cherries, which settle completely intact in the animal’s digestive system where gastric and proteolytic acids filter to the bean nucleus cutting the peptic and amino acids common in coffee cups, resulting in a less sour and more aromatic flavor that persists on the palate. Since the animal does not only feed itself coffee but also other varieties of fruits and vegetables, those aromas also penetrate the nucleus and the result is the most delicious coffee on the planet. The coffee bean is expelled from the animal and after gathering is washed and sun-dried in order to later be peeled and roasted at a temperature of 240 ºC which eliminates 100% any bio-contaminant. 10.- PEABERRY COFFEE.- This is a coffee which grows at the end of tree limbs, exposed to extreme the sunlight and rain water, and without proper nourishment for normal growth and lacking a micro element called boron, this cherry does not reach its full maturation, leaving a mutated double bean that is known for its high acidity concentrated in the bean nucleus. 11.- TIPICA COFFEE. - This Arabica coffee varietal is the oldest growing in the central jungles of Peru at 1,300 to 1,800 meters above sea level, sufficient elevation to produce special characteristics in cup such as an intense aroma, body, and flavor. 12.- COCA COFFEE.- This coffee is grown in the deep jungle region called VRAEM, an area where coffee serves as an alternative to the growing of coca leaf for illicit drug production which includes indiscriminate burning of trees. 13.- SUSTAINABLE COFFEE.- This coffee is produced by the Alto Rio Amarillo Growers’ Association, which is located 1,600 meters above sea level in the Perené district of Chanchamayo and is made up of 76 small scale growers who collectively produce coffee responsibly, respecting surrounding native trees, as well as mammals, birds, insects, and orchids. Misha Coffee
The rarest and most expensive drink in the world It is the most expensive and exotic coffee in the world. The price of Misha coffee is $ 1,400.00 per kilo, and it is processed in the highlands of the Peruvian Amazon in South America, by the coatis (Nasua nasua). When the coffee cherries ripen, its deep red color, sweet pulp, attract many wild animals, including the raccoon, which only feeds on the best coffee cherries. The coffee then goes through the animal’s digestive system, and due to the animal not being able to digest the entire coffee cherry, the coffee is released with the animals stool. Then, through a careful process, the coffee is washed and dried in stainless steel trays in a solar dehydrator, and then is subsequently milled to remove the second layer or parchment. After those process are complete, the coffee is then ready for roasting and grinding. What is the difference between regular coffee and Misha coffee, and why is Misha Coffee so expensive? When coffee beans are in the digestive system of the Coati, proteolytics gastric acid filter and cut the grain nucleus, and then the coffee comes in contact with peptides and amino acids, which results less bitter coffee that has an intense aroma that lingers on the palate of your tongue. The animal is fed not only coffee but also various kinds of fruits and vegetable. These scents permeate the core of the grain, thus making it into the most delicious coffee in the world.

They will say, “That is disgusting! Am I consuming coffee that was in animals feces?” That’s no problem, because the animal only removes the first shell. The coffee beans that are among the stools are covered by the second shell, which after carefully washing and drying, and the coffee being milled, the final product is sanitary and clean. In addition to the washing, the coffee is then roasted at 220 °C, which eliminates any remaining mycobacteria’s, which then makes the coffee safe for human consumption. People have enjoyed this coffee since the early XVII, when people first started drinking this coffee in the East Indies. This type of coffee became the exclusive coffee of the highest social circles of the world. In Peru, through the certified organic, biodynamic, and Fair Trade Coffee program, Highland Coffee Products connects with women’s associations in Satipo and Chanchamayo, which is located between 1300 - 2000 meters above sea level, and are currently producing over 450 kilograms per year.
