We are so very excited to welcome you to the inaugural Night Shift Sale… A Genuine Connection!

This has been a real dream for some time, since then, there have been countless conversations around the opportunity to bring our Limousin family together to share our excitement for the breed. Could there be a better place to host a sale other than Stettler? Heartland of Alberta, where the Limousin breed has prospered for so many past and present breeders and played an influential part in where we are today!

The offering brought to you this year, is the top end selection of females from their respected programs. These consignors, have committed themselves to the breed and the genetics we have come to appreciate. Each are proud to present you the ladies that are ready to go to work for your program! Touring each herd, it was evident how strong the maternal foundation was and how cow families are first and foremost! These girls had their working clothes on, making the best of the ideal growing conditions this year!

To put icing on the cake of this deep set of females, the Richmond’s have graciously

offered an amazing opportunity! Pick of their entire spring calving cows! We had the opportunity to tour these females in July and let me tell you folks, if you can’t find a female to pick out of this prestigious herd you best find another occupation! The cow herd is extremely impressive and it’s easy to notice the blood, sweat and tears that have gone into this herd to make it what it is today!

This February born female has always stood out with her level top, smooth track and stylish look. Lazy H Knock Out 16K is one of the first B Bar Ferrini 39H progeny to be offered. Ferrini’s solid foot and quiet disposition has shown genetic dominance throughout this years calf crop. These calves are what we have been striving to produce in our 8 years of being Limousin breeders! The easy doing type that can get the job done every year and keep the guessing game of consistency out the window! NEM Kayla comes from a cow we purchased six years ago from Ken Gillies she was most definitely one of his favorite cows Brandon had to really twist his arm to part with her. Since owning her she has always produced at the top of the pen. She can make powerful herd bull type bulls along with productive producing females. When Hirsch hesitates, saying “we are going to have to keep her around” we knew we had a shot of grabbing one of many great 34X daughters from the Lazy A herd! Let me tell you one thing, this gal did not disappoint! Raising an easy fleshing, bold ribbed, Hawkins daughter that can be easy to appreciate! Might sound like a broken record, but cow families have been first and foremost at Double B Cattle Co!

When we bred 777 Harley Quinn to Hawkins we knew something special could come out of that decision and we sure were pleased when it worked so well. 777 Keepsake is a long bodied, sound and stylish heifer. She is very attractive through her neck and shoulders and keeps square to her hip. Both sides of the pedigree are packed with great cow family’s. keepsake’s grand dam was one of those no miss producers as well as a CLA super elite dam and we can’t see her being any different.

When we saw RPY Paynes Dream Catcher 71H, we knew this female was just what we were looking for and was purchased privately in the fall of 2021. Backed by a maternal bloodline that has been extremely valuable for the Payne crew, there was no guesswork needed on what she could do for us! She knocked it out of the park with this B Bar Bentley daughter! This attractive female has been an attention hog all summer and has a reason to be! It is with great anticipation that we introduce the first female for sale out of this flush. We feel that NEM Kesha was the standout since birth she has always had eye appeal, performance and shape. This flush mating of KGS 18B and Double B Hard Pressed does have great consistency throughout. They had consistently lower birth weights but have shown to have lots of growth and performance. NEM Jane Austin comes in a sweet package being moderate made, deep bodied and full of capacity! Her dam KGS 23E Enchanted we purchased as a heifer calf in the Western Select from Ken Gillies, she has turned into a moderate made cow with lots of muscle expression along with an excellent udder with lots of milk production. NEM 37J is closely printed from her mother but might have a touch more femininity. This heifer has lots of potential in her future. Parent Verified. A unique opportunity to acquire a direct daughter of the great donor female HSF Zena. 55J is a sibling to some exceptional calves that were a result of a flush purchased by Gibson Farms. Back in 2017 we were runner up to Red Maple farms when they purchased Anchor B Polled Jeopardy 206X from the B Bar Cattle Sale. We then purchased 206X’s calf in 2018 from Red Maple in the Colours of Autumn sale which is the dam of 777 Jeopardy. It’s easy to say we think very highly of this cow family. This heifer is an absolute powerhouse. She is easy fleshing and packed with muscle and body. we have big dreams for this special mating. Bred April 2, 2022 for early January calving to 777 Hawkins.

We wanted to kick off this inaugural event with a bang and this gal is what the doctor ordered! A daughter of the 2019 Limousin World Champion & National Grand Champion Female, she inherits a great deal of the maternal characteristics that have become a fundamental part of our operation! We thought so highly of Jive Talkin’ we flushed her successfully early 2022 and have her safe in calf with a favourable heifer out of HLC/DBCC Flatliner 05F. This mating should be one to take note of as the maternal combination this brings, has great potential! We would ask to showcase Jive Talkin’ for the 2022 fall show run!
