THREE Locations
SMITH LIBRARY Smith Library is the main library facility at High Point University. Smith is open 24/7 during the regular semester. The materials at Smith are available to all students, faculty and staff at the University and can be searched via the online catalog.
HPU CAMPUS COLLECTIONS INCLUDE: The Bassett Furniture Collection is housed in Norton Hall and is a unique collection of materials in the area of furniture styles and industry. The Nido R. Qubein Communication Collection is housed in the Nido R. Qubein School of Communication. The books in this autographed collection represent authors in the field of sales, selfhelp and other literature in the field of communication.
HPU Libraries provide our students, faculty and staff with online and traditional resources in three library locations.

Located in the R.G. Wanek Center this is a quiet and comfortable 24/5 study environment.
SCHOOL OF EDUCATION Resource Center
This Resource Center is located in the Stout School of Education and provides access to the University’s children’s book collection. It is open mornings and afternoons during the spring and fall semester.

LIBRARY Services Circulation Services
Interlibrary Loan
Circulation services check out items to students, staff and faculty. Circulating items include books, movies, equipment, and much more. The Circulation Department is in Smith Library and manages the reserve system where professors may “store” materials that students will need for class.
Using HPUShare users can borrow materials that the library does not own. Further agreements with other local academic libraries, allows students and faculty to check out additional materials.
Media Services
Chat with HPU Librarians
Media services at Smith Library provides multimedia assistance to individuals, classes and groups at the University. Printing and other professional finishing services are also available to students, staff and faculty.
Reference Services Reference Services provides research help in person, by phone, via email, by chat, and via text message. Reference Services librarians teach information literacy classes and these “how to” research classes are offered to students throughout their college career.
