Plug lead time: 9 weeks Excellent cut and dried flower with extra tall, lime green flower or calyces that top 25-30cm. The flower itself is an insignificant white bloom in the centre of the bell. Harvesting can start as soon as stems are long enough and calyxes are well formed. Pinching delays cutting but gives more stems per plant. NB: the true leaves should be removed from between the calyxes for the best ornamental product. 150 Seeds/gram.

Nakayasu is basal branching, with good vigour and uniformity. Champagne is an attractive cut flower which is also suitable for production in big containers. Fast finishing, high yielding series has bell shaped, 4cm diameter blooms. Uniform, ba s a l b r a n c h i n g p l a n t s with 8-10 stems per plant. Although Campanula medium is a beautiful cut flower, which should not be left out of any spring bouquet, it had one disadvantage in that it needed a two year cultivation period. It therefore hardly found its way to the consumer. This has changed with the all new Champagne. Series. The wonderful flowers, short cultivation period and high productivity mean first class cut flowers. G

Double Delight

Double Delight is a new innovative type of stock, the stems are very hard and strong, the flower head is very tight between florets and the top of the flower spike does not stretch significantly reducing breakage during handling and shipping. However if grown like other Stocks Double Delight may produce shorter stems than other varieties. Grower suggestions to improve stem length:

1.Double Delight series is an early season flowering variety that can be sown earlier than other varieties. If Double Delight seeds are sown in summer they will have sufficient time to grow vegetatively without flower initiation due to the high temperatures experienced. 2.Provide adequate water until flower buds become visible. Double Delight stocks have such a strong stem they can tolerate higher moisture conditions than other varieties. 3.Many stock growers reduce water and keep the greenhouse dry to produce a tight stem and flower formation. This is not required for Double Delight stocks, grow slightly warmer and with higher moisture conditions to achieve greater stem length. 4.There also appears to be a difference in vigour between colours. Ordering Plugs

Ordering Contract Plugs Thank you for placing your plug order with us. We take great pride in producing top quality plugs to suit your requirements. We understand for many, purchasing plugs is a whole new experience, therefore we aim to make this procedure as simple and accurate as possible for you. Please read the information below so that you have an understanding of the ordering process.

1. Placing a contract order All orders are required in writing, where possible by email info@highsun.com.au or fax 1800 644 015, before seeding can proceed, as it is important we clearly understand your requirements. Verbal orders and changes to existing orders will require written confirmation. We encourage Contract Orders to be placed at least 4 weeks before seeding date to ensure seed supply. 2. Order confirmation The Order Confirmation form is an important document. After entering your order into our system, an Order Confirmation will be forwarded to you, please retain it for your records. This is confirmation that we have correctly entered your order. It is the customers responsibility to read the Order Confirmation carefully, checking that the variety, colour, quantity and expected due date/s are correct. Please read the Terms & Conditions of Sale on the back of the Order Confirmation. If you do not receive an Order Confirmation within 10 days of placing your order, your order is not in our system, therefore you should contact us. Your payment terms and value of the order, will be recorded on the Order Confirmation. 3. Order timing Please allow a growing time of 6 – 12 weeks for most crops. Up to 16 weeks for spring deliveries of Lisianthus is sometimes required. The expected due date on the order confirmation is accurately given for normal weather conditions. Unseasonal heat or cold can vary that date by up to 2 weeks for longer term crops. It is our policy to attempt to give you an advanced warning of any major variance to the expected date. will not be seeded until the following week and then only if the seed is available. Please note abnormal weather conditions may affect the expected due date.

4. Order tracking Your plants will be checked regularly during their time with us. Scouts with the use of hand held scanners will check point the status of the plants back to our Production Team. You will be notified by Customer Service of any variations to your order. 5. Despatch You will be notified the week prior (Thursday or Friday) to the despatch of your plants. If you would like to receive full cartons, you can order excess stock at this time. Depending on the tray size, the average carton will hold 4 to 8 trays. Customers on Prepaid terms will be sent a payment form. Payment will need to be finalised by 12 noon the day prior to despatch. Consignment details are available by request. 6. Holding plants Not a preferred option, however we offer it as a last resort, IF SPACE PERMITS IN OUR NURSERY. A hold request form will have to be signed and returned to us in order for your plants to be held. Due to the nature of plugs we cannot guarantee the plants will remain at our normal shipping standard, as shown in the catalogue. No credits for oversize and subsequent problems will be given for plants that are held in our nursery beyond the original shipping date, as we accept no responsibility for the quality of held plants.

7. Indent seeds Indent items require an additional 4 weeks lead time to allow for seed to be sourced.

8. Order variations Any variations to your Order must be received in writing, prior to us purchasing the seed. Contact our office to confirm any variations to your order. 9. Order cancelation Orders may be cancelled prior to the seeding date only if the seed has not been purchased, and only with the consent of the seller. We can not cancel the order after the seeding date and an invoice will be raised with the amount shown on the order confirmation once your plants are ready. If requested Highsun will endeavour to on sell plants on the customers behalf. There will be an admistration fee of 15% of the value of the goods on sold for this service. All cancellations must be in writing. Plugs shipping information Highsun orders are packed in brand new, specially manufactured, white coloured, sun-reflecting cartons with special inserts to ensure that the plug trays stay secure during transit. Plug prices quoted include packaging but not the freight. A freight charge per plug applies based on the prevailing tariffs of the carriers utilised, unless transport arrangements are made by the customer. A door-to-door transport/ delivery system is in place for most customers throughout Australia. Customers outside out normal delivery areas will be asked to indicate their preferred transport-operator and cover their own freight costs.

Plugs freight obligations Customer Responsibilities: • Respond within 24 hours to the call from the transport company to pick up the goods. It is a good precaution to contact the transport company if you have not

heard from them within 48 hours of stock having left our company. • Receive shipment and sign for it • Inspect shipment in carriers presence • If damage is evident, contact Highsun Express Plugs within 24 hours Highsun Express Responsibilites: • Highsun Express will notify you of the day the goods will leave the nursery • Your plants will be packaged to the best of our ability to withstand handling and movement on the regular transport routes to all major centres in Australia

Plugs interstate inspections Highsun Express plugs is a Nursery and Garden Industry Australia (NGIA) accredited nursery. To comply with the strict requirements for movement of plant material interstate, we have implemented a complete pest and disease monitoring system throughout the entire nursery. This system conforms with the very strict WFT protocols and involves fortnightly inspections and regular trap monitoring. Each week Queensland Department of Primary Industries carry out a visual inspection to ensure we comply with all regulations. This enables us to export our products to all states in Australia. Fire ants Highsun complies with all Fire Ant regulations and employs a strict Risk Management Strategy to prevent any potential Fire Ant problems. Highsun is accredited to send plants to all states in Australia.

Plugs and Seed

Surplus plants Highsun predominantly grows plugs to contract order but often have surplus stock available. The surplus Retail List is published on a Thursday for delivery of plants the following week, while the Inventory List is published on a Monday and forecasts surplus plants potentially available for despatch in 2-3 weeks time. Please note that all stock is allocated on a first in, first served basis so please order early to avoid disappointment. You can receive the Inventory and/or Retail Lists by weekly email or fax. Seed types Highsun offers you the latest in seed enhancements for precision seeding, clear seed visibility and optimum germination and seedling vigour. The seed type is displayed in the catalogue as: Coat = Coated seed Pell = Pelleted seed Det = Detailed seed Prim = Primed seed Seed = Raw seed Mult = Multi Pelleted seed Coated Some seeds are coated to provide uniform size and shape for seeding. Improves flow and individual sowing through automatic seeders. Uses bright colours to improve visibility. Detailed Marigold seeds are treated to remove fuzzy tails. Minimises the risk of disease, which is carried in the tail. Improves flow and placement of seeds in plug trays. Multi Pelleted Multiple seeds are enclosed in each pellet. Allows for uniform sowing of multiple seeds per plug. Pelleted Small seeds are coated to allow more manageable, uniform shape. Allows easier handling for more reliable, faster mechanical sowing. Uses bright colours to improve visibility. Primed Seeds are treated to begin the biochemical process of germination then stopped just prior to radical emergence. Provides maximum and faster germination, even under a wider range of temperature and environments. Primed seed must be properly stored and used within 6 months of receival.

Terms and Conditions Highsun Express Plugs, Seed, TissueCulture-Terms and Conditions of Sale Ordering

problems will be given for plants that are held in our nursery beyond the original shipping date, as we accept no responsibility for the quality of held plants.

Place all orders in writing. Where possible order by email info@highsun.com.au or free fax 1800 644 015, stating product tray size, quantity and date required. A four week lead time from placement of order to seeding is required to ensure timely scheduling and planting of your order. For tissue culture products, a four to eight month lead time is required from the tissue culture laboratories. You may change your order (in writing) up to the time of seed and and tissue culture purchase.

Payment

Minimum Seed Order Quantity

Payment is to be received by us by 12 noon the day before dispatch. Customers will remain on prepaid trading terms until an application for credit is approved. Highsun Express will require an original completed, signed and approved Credit Application form, before a credit account is opened.

The sum of the individual items must be equal to or greater than $50 nett. Individual varieties are offered as a minimum nett $20. Where the quantity ordered does not meet the minimum required, Highsun Express reserves the right to supply and charge for a greater quantity to meet the minimum stated.

Deposits Confirmation

In some cases, deposits will be required. e.g. custom seeding / planting, new customers and large orders. Upon processing of your order an “Order Confirmation” will be forwarded. Orders should not be taken as accepted unless an “Order Confirmation” is received, whereupon the terms and conditions of trade shall be deemed to have been accepted and understood. All information you will need when making an inquiry into an existing order will be found on the Order Confirmation. Due date is approximate only. Please allow for this when ordering.

Order Cancellation

Order Cancellation - Seed or Plugs: You may cancel prior to the seed date only if the seed has NOT been purchased and only with the consent of the seller. Under no circumstances will cancellations be permitted after the seed date, as listed in the “Order Confirmation”, has passed. An invoice will be raised for the amount as shown on the “Order Confirmation” once your plants are ready. ALL CHANGES / CANCELLATIONS MUST BE IN WRITING. By customer request, Highsun will endeavour to “On Sell” plants on the customer’s behalf. The customer will incur an “administrative fee” of 15% of all goods on sold for this service. Order Cancellation - Tissue Culture: You may only cancel pre-ordered Tissue Culture if the Tissue Culture Laboratory allows us to cancel and only with the consent of the seller. Under no circumstances will cancellations be permitted once the Tissue Culture Laboratory has begun its internal processes. Additionally, Highsun Express utilizes both domestic and international Tissue Culture laboratories to supply the listed varieties, as such, variations may occur in the ability of the laboratory to cancel an existing order. An invoice will be raised for the amount as shown on the “Order Confirmation”, once your plants are ready. ALL CHANGES / CANCELLATIONS MUST BE IN WRITING. By customer request, Highsun will endeavour to “On Sell” plants on the customer’s behalf. The customer will incur an “administrative fee” of 15% of all goods on sold for this service.

Substitutions

Substitution could occur in the event of seed supply problems, UNLESS WE ARE ADVISED OTHERWISE.

Shipping Information

Freight is added to the invoice. We arrange shipment by air, road or rail. In some cases the customer is required to arrange pickup and transport from the airport/depot to nursery. All shipments go forth at customer’s risk.

Seed Shipping Information

Orders under $500 will have freight added to the invoice. We will arrange shipment via Express Post. All shipments go forth at customer’s risk.

Seed Freight Liability

Highsun Express accepts no responsibility for damage or delay following delivery to the original carrier. We will however, claim on the customer’s behalf the cost value of the damaged goods provided Insurance has been taken out.

Customers Responsibilities

In the event of a missing consignment, 1st contact should be made to your receiving depot, advising them of the consignment note number and date the goods left the nursery. Highsun Express Responsibilities

Your plants, seeds and propagation supplies will be packaged to the best of our ability to withstand handling and movements on regular transport routes to all major centres in Australia.

Property & Risk

Property in and title to the goods shall remain with Highsun Express which reserves the right to dispose of the goods until such time that all moneys owing by the Buyer to Highsun Express have been paid in full. The risk in the goods purchased shall, unless otherwise agreed in writing, pass to the Buyer immediately upon the goods leaving Highsun Express premises.

All new customers’ orders are to be prepaid. Payment can be made by:   

Direct Deposit to our Bank Account (please fax or email receipt of bank deposit). Credit Card: Visa, MasterCard. Cheque or Cash.

Terms for Approved Customers

Net 30 days from date of statement. After 90 days outstanding, credit will be stopped. Interest will be charged on accounts over 90 days, at 1.5% per month.

Product Claims

Limit of Liability for Seeds & Plugs

Seed or Plugs: Highsun Express states and the customer acknowledges that any variety or descriptive information furnished in relation to the seed or seedlings (plugs), is based upon information received from the seed breeders or distributors, and is provided as a guide only. The customer accepts responsibility in relation to any delays in accepting the seeds or plants ordered, and recognises that significant variations may occur in the particular plants due to geographic location, climate, soil type, soil conditions, cultural management practices and other growth factors. No liability will be accepted by Highsun Express, or its Directors, for any inaccuracy in the information provided. Highsun Express gives no further warranty, express or implied, and all other or further warranties, including any warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose are excluded. We shall not be responsible for loss of any product, profit or any other indirect special or consequential damages. Any mis-labelled product is subject to our limit of liability i.e. to the extent of the purchase price.

The customer accepts responsibility in relation to any delays in accepting the Tissue Culture or plugs ordered, and recognises that significant variations may occur in the particular plants due to geographic location, climate, soil type, soil conditions, cultural management practices and other growth factors. Additionally, Highsun Express utilizes both domestic and international Tissue Culture laboratories to supply the listed varieties, as such, variations may occur in the quality and performance of the Tissue Culture and or plugs as a result. No liability will be accepted by Highsun Express, or its Directors, for any inaccuracy in the information provided. Highsun Express gives no further warranty, express or implied, and all other or further warranties, including any warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose are excluded. We shall not be responsible for loss of any product, profit or any other indirect special or consequential damages. Force Majeure

If Highsun is unable wholly or in part by reason of force majeure to carry out any of its obligations under these Terms and Conditions, at the option of Highsun: (a) That obligation will be suspended for so long as it is affected by force majeure during the continuance of the force majeure; or (b) The contract for the supply or sale of the Goods pursuant to these Terms and Conditions will be terminated. If Highsun elects to terminate the contract for the supply or sale of Goods pursuant to these Terms and Conditions Highsun must notify the Buyer of the termination.The Buyer acknowledges that Highsun is not liable for any breach of these Terms and Conditions, or any failure to supply the Goods, or for any delay in supply of the Goods, or for the termination of a contract for the supply of the Goods pursuant to these Terms and Conditions caused by force majeure. The Buyer acknowledges that if Highsun elects to terminate the contract for the supply of the Goods, Highsun will be under no obligation at any future date to deliver the Goods the subject of the terminated contract. In this clause ‘force majeure” means an act of God, strike, labour dispute or other inference with work, War, blockade, disturbance, flood, explosion, governmental requirement, intervention or embargo, unavailability or delay in availability of raw materials, equipment or transport and any other cause whatsoever (whether or not similar to those specifically enumerated above) which is not reasonably within the control of Highsun

Prices shown in the catalogue of Highsun Express may be varied without notice to the customer at any time. Highsun Express reserves the right to correct errors on invoices. Prices quoted in our catalogue do not include GST. Confirmation prices do not include freight.

Vegetative Products

Summer period: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Tuesday to Thursday. 9 a.m. - 12 noon Friday. All other seasons: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Monday to Thursday. 9 a.m. - 12 noon Friday. Closed Weekends & Public Holidays. To ensure optimum plant quality, orders MUST be picked up on the day agreed upon by the customer.

Holding Stock Past Due Date

We can only hold plants if space permits. Due to the nature of our plants we cannot guarantee the plants will remain at our normal shipping standard. No credits for oversize and subsequent

Customers who have purchased or will purchase any vegetative cuttings from Highsun Express will only use said plants for cut flower or pot production and shall refrain from any type of propagation of these plants. Propagation shall mean to increase or reproduce the supplied plants. Highsun Express can commence legal proceedings against offenders of this provision for damages and costs. Every endeavour will be made by Highsun Express at all times to ensure that plants are propagated from reliable stock to accepted industry standards of quality and performance.
