In 1998 an Italian engineer teamed up with guitar players to create a revolutionized “Hand Made”amplifier and with the mind of musicians Mezzabarba amplification was created.

In this Issue we look at this Marvel Engineered Mezzabarba M0100 (100 watt) Amplifier.

Mezzabarba has really made a new definition in the phrase “Hand-Made”. This Amplifier Is a beast and is played by monster Guitar Players around the World. I am fortunate enough that I have worked alongside in studio and on tour with my good friend who is an actual user of the Mezzabarba M0100 Amplifier: Robert Sarzo (Geoff Tate Queensryche, Hurricane).

James: Robert, what are the tones and bottom ends of this amp?

Robert: “This Amplifier Is the “Holy Grail“ for guitarist of the 1970s and the 1980s. In the lead Channel you don’t need to have an overdrive pedal, the crunch Channel reminds me of a” Plexiglass Marshall”, I owned one and it was a super bass 100, I got it from a professional bass player out in Florida, I used it on guitar with an overdrive pedal in the 1970’s and it just had a beautiful harmonic tone to it, and this Mezzabarba amplifier gives me that tone, the mids are just perfect, it has a beautiful low end that just hits you right in the chest like it should when you’re muting and hitting your strings, the pinch harmonics respond perfectly just like the same way you hear in your head is what comes out. Your head, in your soul, and your body, then you express that through your guitar strings and you want to be delivering that same expression, the Mezzabarba amp is the only one that really has done that for me, it’s just a beautiful amplifier it is built by hand, and it has the best components you can ask for, it’s really the best amplifier out there in the market.”

James: What’s the Highlight you like the best of this amplifier?, and what are your like and dislikes?

Robert: “It sounds unbelievable it makes me sound my best!, and very reliable as well. The only dislike is that it is a heavy amplifier as expected because the Transformers are well built to play large venues, It’s a guitar players amplifier.”

James: Thanks Robert! for your input into this review, one day I will get one of my own. I like that it’s a versatile amp and 100 watts of pure power.
