LIFELINE Lazarus Dream Pride & Joy Music
Introducing LIFELINE, the second album from German band LAZARUS DREAM. Musicians in this duo are multi - instrumentalist MARKUS PFEIFFER and vocalist CARSTEN LIZARD SCHULZ. Slowly building a platform of hard rock and metal is track 01 Dead End Symphony. Just an epic production at over 06:00 minutes with its back to back virtuosic guitar leads and melodically driven vocal. Another tune that really stood out for me is track 05, Overdose Of Paradise containing galloping rhythms, catchy hooks and harmonies. Track 08, Crack The Hourglass is more of a straight -ahead rock and roller with LIZARD’S vocal shining through and includes a touch of progressive rock. I would like to hear this one on the radio. Now beginning with an instrumental passage of Far East influences along with a hint of Goth, this will prepare you for track 09 Save Our Souls to create this one of a kind gem. Moving on to track #10, Modern Lies. PFEIFFER is in great form and wish this tune had made an earlier appearance. Drummer MARKUS KULLMAN showing how to create and hold a groove. Flying into #11 is Still Running with perhaps a trace of QUEENSRYCHE influence. Awesome lead guitar at 04:35 and for me could have gone on quite a bit longer (maybe live). Many very special guests include keyboardists DEREK SHERINIAN (SONS OF APOLLO, DREAM THEATER), THOMAS NITSCHKE, JORRIS GUILBAUD, drummer MARKUS KULLMAN (GLENN HUGHES, SINNER) and percussionists THOMAS RIEDER and ANDY LUBBERT. LIFELINE has 14 tracks, you will need just over an hour to complete this awesome auditory experience.
