The History Dating back to 1048, this catalogued masia is steeped in history and saw Napoleon’s troops battling on its doorstep. The Battle of Cardedeu was immortalised by the prestigious French engraver JC Langlois in a work that is currently in the Louvre Museum and where we can contemplate the discreet presence in the scene of Can Morató: a magnificent ceramic depiction of this work of art hangs in the grand entrance hall.
The Estate The main house offers 1100 m2 of living space, 1000 m2Â of adjacent buildings and 6 hectares grounds, including 3.3 hectares of pasture lands.
Renovation Retaining a solid structure, the interior was fully refurbished in 1970 to offer a superb layout whilst respecting and protecting the historic, artistic and spirit of the original architecture of the masia. The renovation was carried out under the instruction of the famous architect Lluis Bonet i GarĂ, the main disciple of AntĂłni Gaudi and successor in the construction of the Sagrada Familia.
Entrance to the Estate Automatic double gates open into the driveway passing by the beautiful landscaped gardens, garage space for four cars.
The Main House The exterior of the house is made up of a splendid stone facade, thick stone walls and hand made wrought iron window adornings.
A Recipe For Relaxation Al fresco dining with views over the estate, fields, gardens and in the distance, the mountains of Montserrat and Montseny and Montnegre Natural Parks.
