Bushfire Checklist

By Miranda Dyskin

USHFIRES are fires which occur in the bush and can destroy your homes and seriously injure people, as well as kill. Bushfires usually start after heavy rain; when the weather is windy, hot and dry, a bushfire is likely to start. Bushfires are fuelled by dead leaves, wind, oxygen, dead plants, and petrel. When a bushfires occurs it can change the life of many people, who unfortunately were in the area were the bushfire occurred. Some lose their homes, some get injured and the government has to pay for all the damage (if the house which was burned down had insurance).
