STUDENT LIFE// 7 REASONS TO HIT-UP CHRISTMAS BANQUET Rushing home on Friday afternoon to fire up the curling iron or throwing dress pants in the dyer are likely to start off Christmas Banquet (CB) for most. Blasting music with friends while getting ready, and of course instagramming each step, are parts of CB that can be fun. Here are Seven reasons the fun won’t stop with primping:

1.

Friendship. Christmas at the banquet is fun because we are all there together. The lights, glitz, glamour, and food are part of the event, but CB is special because we equate friendship to family. The Christmas Banquet is the first big event of the year student council puts together. Not only does CB unite the school, but also the schools leaders.

2.

Formal Attire. Although CB is an all-school gathering, students aren’t carrying bookbags. The evening activity’s dresscode is formal attire, so the celebration brings a new level of excitement. Adrienne Shultz, explains why this year’s banquet is different from a typical high school Snoball or CB in past years “Well there’s no dates so people are gonna be like whoa this isn’t awkward anymore!”

They prayed that they wouldn’t spill water or hot coffee on someone’s lap. They celebrated together when a kind Norwegian offered a tip for the service of one of their classmates.
