Parent Engagement And Involvement
Hillcrest Christian College provides a plethora of opportunities for Parental Involvement. Parents and carers are encouraged to engage in the College community via the P&F Association, Class Parents and volunteer participation in College Sporting, Cultural and Performing Arts events. 2020 presented challenges for on-campus parent participation and attendance due to COVID-19, therefore several of the school's events were live-streamed so that families could watch online.
These are the opportunities provided for parent and community engagement:
Tea & Tears Prep Parents Morning Tea - held prior to Covid
College Fete - not held in 2021 due to COVID
Mother’s Day Stall
Father’s Day Stall
Musical - postponed due to Covid
Choral & Art Extravaganza
Excursions
JLC Classroom Helpers
Classroom Parents
Parent Information Evenings - held online where necessary
Student / Parent / Teacher Interviews
Sports Carnivals - no parent attendance due to Covid in some cases
